er... do you have a pic? i did not know they changed the packaging. when i got mine it was in the same as what you see here: https://scontent-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...18047189_o.jpg it had this cardboard sleeve with the handle: http://gigaplus.makeshop.jp/freestyl...0000016204.jpg |
Yes! It looks the same as yours thumper. This is my first 1:18 Ignition model. Oh what the heck, I took pics anyway... please excuse the quality: Cardboard box the model comes in, note the pull out lunchbox handles lol: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psmzn0xef2.jpg With dustcover: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pstintpdqi.jpg Without dustcover: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psesmbygti.jpg Nice details like Takata fabric racing harness inside on the Recaro seats!: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps3k89h098.jpg Small plaque at the corner of the base for a nice luxury touch: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psrtqg4ief.jpg |
you do not want to just leave the sleeve on? i can't even take the nismo one out of the box. when i bought it i did not know it was such a limited run and i thought it was just another one of their many different versions. it was at auction going for no reserve and i bid low and inexplicably won... now i see them going for as high as $300+ and i don't dare touch it  |
I guess I like the integrated windows of the AA boxes better visually... I was going to ask what the AD00 company is, I have a Tomica NSX with that branding on the box too! |

http://media.voiture-miniature.com/i...res/144342.jpg i want it so bad... i still remember being at wilkinsons long ago holding one in my hands and not having enough money to buy it. now they sell for close to $250-300 on ebay overseas... still stings  |

can i borrow your camera? i promise to give it back... maybe :D |

Don't remind me. I saw one when I was in HK on my last trip. Was gonna go back to the shop later to buy it and it was gone. :( |
well, if you see more than one, ditch the underwear in your suitcase and bring it back for me please? :) |

kodamu can you remember how much the one you saw was selling for? |

300 CDN including shipping. Super expensive. |
yeah i am one of the 18 watchers who won't pull the trigger. there is another one in taiwan on ebay as well... more rare than a red nsx there are two others for sale on other auctions. one is in hong kong and the other is in denmark but they are even more expensive :o |
huh forgot i have this one. won it at the last subaru meet in north van long ago. for those of you who can remember that far back this was the same car that was always in the display case at specialty subaru. sorry it is dusty as hell. i used to keep it on my desk at every job i've worked at since until now because in surrey if it it isn't bolted down it will be gone before you know it... https://scontent-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...21427914_o.jpg |
Picked up a Hot Wheels Elite LaFerrari http://i.imgur.com/xlHpsja.jpg Looks like it's time to pick up a red hard top F50... http://i.imgur.com/E4ythjL.jpg Quote:
But if you want a 1:18 Ferrari you pretty much have no other choice, other than a couple Kyosho models or moving up to resin models. It probably isn't going to be getting better any time soon since as of January Maisto and Bburago now have the exclusive rights for Ferrari diecasts. |
I don't think it's HotWheels fault... but man I think the LaFerrari looks awkward as anything in those pics... the shape is just all unbalanced... never noticed that in seeing the car on TopGear and whatnot. |
Too much ballerness going on here. I like to collected cheap die cast so most of my fund can go towards my real cars. Hot wheel collectors I have some double up for trade. ONLY looking for japanese cars or classic European models. I have the following: -yellow rx7 -ferrari 458 Italia -Lamborghini sesto elemento -black skyline 2000gtx -blue skyline r34 -teal green ef civic x2 Will also trade for differnt color variation of the models listed. Pm me!! http://i.imgur.com/47eV11Rl.jpg |
went to burnaby hobbies to buy paint. instead i came back with this: https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...acefabd3b3e3a0 https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...15&oe=557A6558 https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...2a&oe=557E3A4E brand new, but it lived in a dark corner of the front display case because it has the broken wing and no box. but note the carbon decal sheet... i have a plan :D |
Thumper, how much did you have to pay for it? that is rare. Was there any other diecast worth buying? |
$60 cash... is that good? i do not pay much attention to the dc5 but i knew enough to understand what this one was. there is an undamaged one with box going for $320+ shipping on ebay right now. on a side note, has anyone seen this unicorn for sale before?: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxNj...VBYOh/$_12.JPG the type-r was the only autoart that i noticed. most of the other stuff was domestics from ertl, greenlight, jada, etc.. something that was of interest to me was that they sold led lighting kits for various applications, from planes to cars to police and emergency vehicle setups. |
doh. plan b! this is a resin copy of the mugen wing: https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...808cb210e61f8a https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...ac&oe=55BDF04A https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...ac&oe=55BA06F0 12 euros +shipping... or fix what i have now? |
