Yes! It looks the same as yours thumper. This is my first 1:18 Ignition model.

Oh what the heck, I took pics anyway... please excuse the quality:

Cardboard box the model comes in, note the pull out lunchbox handles lol:

With dustcover:

Without dustcover:

Nice details like Takata fabric racing harness inside on the Recaro seats!:

Small plaque at the corner of the base for a nice luxury touch:

you do not want to just leave the sleeve on?

i can't even take the nismo one out of the box. when i bought it i did not know it was such a limited run and i thought it was just another one of their many different versions. it was at auction going for no reserve and i bid low and inexplicably won... now i see them going for as high as $300+ and i don't dare touch it

I guess I like the integrated windows of the AA boxes better visually...

I was going to ask what the AD00 company is, I have a Tomica NSX with that branding on the box too!

it's a japanese minicar shop. there is a little bit about it in this list here: http://toyotageek.xanga.com/2007/09/25/travel-japan/

if i had the means, i would like to go to japan one day and do a tour of places like this...

Don't remind me. I saw one when I was in HK on my last trip. Was gonna go back to the shop later to buy it and it was gone.

yeah i am one of the 18 watchers who won't pull the trigger. there is another one in taiwan on ebay as well... more rare than a red nsx

there are two others for sale on other auctions. one is in hong kong and the other is in denmark but they are even more expensive

huh forgot i have this one. won it at the last subaru meet in north van long ago. for those of you who can remember that far back this was the same car that was always in the display case at specialty subaru. sorry it is dusty as hell. i used to keep it on my desk at every job i've worked at since until now because in surrey if it it isn't bolted down it will be gone before you know it...

Picked up a Hot Wheels Elite LaFerrari

Looks like it's time to pick up a red hard top F50...

I would say that the Hot Wheels Elite are about 7/10th as good as AutoArt. I find that the AutoArts have much better shut lines and feel more solid.
But if you want a 1:18 Ferrari you pretty much have no other choice, other than a couple Kyosho models or moving up to resin models.
It probably isn't going to be getting better any time soon since as of January Maisto and Bburago now have the exclusive rights for Ferrari diecasts.

I don't think it's HotWheels fault... but man I think the LaFerrari looks awkward as anything in those pics... the shape is just all unbalanced... never noticed that in seeing the car on TopGear and whatnot.

Thumper, how much did you have to pay for it? that is rare.

Was there any other diecast worth buying?

$60 cash... is that good? i do not pay much attention to the dc5 but i knew enough to understand what this one was. there is an undamaged one with box going for $320+ shipping on ebay right now.

on a side note, has anyone seen this unicorn for sale before?:

the type-r was the only autoart that i noticed. most of the other stuff was domestics from ertl, greenlight, jada, etc..

something that was of interest to me was that they sold led lighting kits for various applications, from planes to cars to police and emergency vehicle setups.
