Yah, Kyosho Supra was tempting... but like someone said... super dated looking... not sure what it is with some of those cars... same thing with MR2 Turbo, there is no such thing as a 1:18 of those... yet you can buy a 1:18 of even the most obscure car like from the Czech Republic or whatever... but not MR2 Turbo??? Or even original MR2 for that matter. Bizarre.

like there is no 1/18 scale dc2 integra, but they do have it for the dc5? why?
kyosho had a 1/18 z32 fairlady, but that's about it as well. you can get it in many other smaller scales, but not 1/18

minichamps mclaren mp4-12c. supposed to be matte black but inexplicably it has a faint bronze sheen to it under direct light. has working suspension and a manual frunk release so that you don't have to break a fingernail trying to pry it open...

zzzz.... snort. ugh i'm awake. need coffee.
not good... the seats in the vette do not look good in the daylight. it's almost like they are molting, but no worries.... transkit resin recaros from an evo8 anyone?
still in a bit of a daze after my visit to the seller's home (aka. diecast disneyland ) to see his rapidly dwindling collection. this man is the real deal. if you are serious about going to see him with the intent to buy it will be a day well spent (maybe money too but some would argue otherwise).
he has some stuff that maybe even wilkinsons can only dream of that i've only seen in pictures or read about until now. i did not know he has been advertising for two months so the nice cars like all of his pagani and most of his lamborghini collection is long gone but even the leftovers are awesome. his bugatti veyron collection is pretty much decimated, but he still has three in particular that made me cry because i would need a bank loan to buy them all.
in the pic on his craigslist ad it appears that he has duplicates, but in reality it's because they are custom made and modified. he has done full color resprays out of a rattle can that i mistook for airbrush work because it was that good.
in the end i nearly spent three hours at his place. i went in not knowing what to expect or how much to spend, but he used ebay prices to set a baseline and negotiated from there. many have come in the past that did not have the money and asked for him to hold, only to not return or string him along, which was frustrating. i ended up using paypal to pay on the spot which helped in the pricing because he knew i was not going to disappear.
i wish i was as organized as he was, ie. there is a method to his madness in his storage and organization of his collection, but keep in mind we are talking about hundreds of cars so budget your time accordingly because looking for the original boxes takes awhile. he was very patient, super laid back and very knowledgable. it's sad to see him let it all go but he's doing the right thing in trading cars for family and lots of kids (some of them his lol). i'm going to have to pull a lot of overtime to make up for the financial damage i caused to myself... and what scares me is that i might be going back (if a certain someone here dosen't buy what i want lol).
moar pics to follow depending on my coffee consumption.

That's how I got into this hobby. I bought a few of my diecasts from him. Most of my lambos were from this seller. He's a very awesome guy to deal with but some of his models are a bit worn from being displayed. I haven't been over to his place, but he keeps inviting me to. LOL.
Also, I am looking to trade or sell my Autoart 2006 World Rally Blue STI as I may end up with an extra one. If anyone is interested in trading shoot over some offers. I am specifically looking for Z tune R34 in blue, R33 R tune in silver, Mclaren F1 LM, Aventador 50th in blue. But if you are interested in the STI (they are becoming a unicorn these days), just shoot me an offer with what you have to trade! Cheers.

78794 comic version 1st release (was only sold in japan) vs. 78797 project d 3rd release (ignore the license plates those are my doing):
door logo is different in size and location:
besides the engine swap, the strut tower bar and hood prop are different (note where the prop is on the radiator support). no more airbox and ductwork on the swapped version and the coolant reservoir plumbing is rerouted:
bad lighting and looks dusty which it is not... sorry:
aux. gauges replace the cupholder, smiths tacho on the steering column, and of course the bucket seat mark the changes made to the later version:
now, if i could only find the 78798 legend 1 second release with the tofu in the back and license plates my life will be complete

A few of my models have glue marks around the window areas and spots in the paint. Their model selection is very good though for 1/43, alot of popular retro vehicles and newer vehicles that no one else had produced before...all JDM too. New cars are released on a monthly basis.

I have WIT versions of the NSX-R... which is actually a NSX-R GT because they chose for some reason to put the roof scoop on it from the GT model... unusualy colour choices with the laguna blue pearl and the imola orange, but the main thing is the proportions are all off IMO... like they look nice, but you put it beside a HPI or Ebbro 1:43 of the NSX and it's like... wtf were they smoking... it just looks all wrong somehow haha

Proof of my statement... and like Lancerion said, it's the details... keyhole not painted, calipers not detailed, tail-lights show moulding marks whereas the HPI does not... and the sizing and general shape just looks weird, smaller and "cheap" compared to the HPI. Both are 1:43 scale so they should be the same size! |

Otto mobile e36 m3 lightweight. Still a work in progress trying to fit staggered 19" bbs wheels and tires on it. otto mobile is the cheap cousin of gt spirit, and it shows. for some reason the wheelwells that are part of the model's base undercarriage do not match from left to right, so it dosen't sit properly, and the body has a slight twist in it...
