in keeping with the tradition of buying a 1:18 car to reflect my real one and recently gotten into a 2nd gen RDX...ordered this... $150cdn shipped.
yes, its not well known but no one else makes it. will go great with my TL 1:18 fleet. |

Hi guys - hoping for some help.
Can anybody recommend an online retailer (or local) to purchase a 1:18 scale 2014 Mercedes Lewis Hamilton model? Spark made one that I'm particularly interested in (it's the one that Lewis is actually holding the Union Jack) but I'm not totally familiar with Spark and am a little cautious about the places selling it online.
I prefer Minichamps as I have a number of those already... any thoughts? Ideas?

Final question - from the folks here - resin vs diecast?
Minichamps = diecast and Spark = resin... but I prefer the inclusion of the Union Jack on the Spark model... anybody with experience and knowledge that they can speak to?

Resin usually means better panel gaps and details but also means there won't be any opening door parts or anything like that... Which is not really an issue on a F1 car anyway since it has no doors or trunk/engine lids.

some insider info... gt spirit had a callout in europe for stock japanese cars, such as silvias and this dc2r:
supposedly we'll be seeing these in the gt spirit lineup (not ottomobile) sometime late next year
