Stay away from city areas unless you want attention.

I think you mean Mitchell Island. Not sure how many open lots they have there. Also, they do have some traffic around Badminton Vancouver (entrance coming in from Vancouver side).

Cypress is do'able I guess, but occasionally cops do patrol that area.

Good luck.

Autox is where its at.. We have a few clubs locally that host at the pit meadows airport...

UBCSCC | University of British Columbia Sports Car Club (UBC Sport Car Club founded in 1956)
VCMC Motorsport Club Forums - Latest (Founded in 1982)
Porsche Club of America - Canada West Region

UBCSCC is currently running a slush series and I believe it starts within a week or 2. Try it out, you never know maybe the GF is a better driver than you..

If you guys are serious and really want to learn, join the VCMC velocity events.. They are super informative and really help with your driving abilities. Plus you get way more seat time than a regular AutoX event. Its pretty cheap compared to track days.

The lower mainland is probably the worst place in the world to be driving aggressively, speedily, or stunt driving. You'd only be safe drifting a bicycle on the green lanes

Cypress or seymour... If you have a friend who's willing, Have him/her park half way up to let you know if any cops are coming up (I know for a fact they make at least one trip up there a day)
