They sure are more expensive than R35 GT-R, since you can buy an R35 for $70k or sometimes less. $89,760 NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R M SPEC NUR | 2002 | GREEN | 13,000 km | details.- Japanese used cars.Goo-net Exchange http://picture1.goo-net.com/70004026...4050100100.jpg |

I still think it's simply because of demand for R34 is so high. Ferrari 456 for example... 456 GT and GTA Production started: 1993. Production ended: 1997. Total production: 1,936 As you can see 1,936 units over the course of 5 years is quite low, but 456 has horrible resale value due to low demand. |
what do you guys think... 1999 NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R V SPEC TWIN TURBO 6MT AWD JDM R34 Mint! http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...HLJoUa25yt.jpg legit, or scam? the reason i ask is because it is also here: Welcome to Prestige Motorsport prestige is in australia, and has been around for a long time and has a good rep (for a used car dealer). they did not buy this car, but they post information of cars that go through auction as examples of what was recently available, so this info might not be up for long. so according to the auction sheet prestige posted, the mileage is legit: http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...HLJoUa25yt.jpg sold at auction for roughly $40kcdn + whatever the fees, etc. on top  |

this one was posted earlier: 1999 Nissan R34 GTR V-Spec (Skyline) 71km Arrived http://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_d...h7_600x450.jpg ... and here it is when it was sold at auction: Welcome to Prestige Motorsport http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...GtfRwFc5as.jpg http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au...GtfRwFc5as.jpg as you can see from the auction sheet, it is a 4.5(!) with a B-grade interior. very clean and mileage is legit. bought at auction for roughly $43k cdn before all the extras. |

Am I missing something why is that Bayside Blue R34 only $43k. Shouldn't it be more than the white one? |

bomiheko also said it the blue one was misrepresented as a R-grade in the online auction which could have hurt bidding resulting in a lower unreserved final sale? |

MSRP: R34 Skyline GT-R: 4,998,000 Yen = $53,481 Canadian R34 Skyline GT-R V Spec: 5,598,000 Yen = $59,901 Canadian |

Is that price in todays value/exchange rate or the 1999 rates? Either way, it shows how obscene some of those prices are. |
1999 exchange rate 0.0145 (highest of that year): R34 Skyline GT-R: 4,998,000 Yen = $72,471 Canadian R34 Skyline GT-R V Spec: 5,598,000 Yen = $81,171 Canadian ... if i am doing the math right :o |

Anyways, people were living much better in 1999. We know food is super expensive now due to expensive gas...well expensive gas will raise the price of everything due to expensive transportation. Also the houses were 1/2 or even 1/3 of the price compare to today. |

i know this is an r34 thread, but i'm sure all the skyline followers out there will understand and know what this unicorn is: |
These 2 R34's are have recently been imported. All all the owners intentions just to try and flip them for profit? I'm a R34 fan boy like many but RHD is going to turn off potential buyers. Also unknown history considering many are bought with hella mods. Can't carfax or VIN history them. I mean for $60K if they sell I can see a 10k-15k profit. Does anyone know how much owners are actually paying "all in cost" NIssan Skyline R34 GTR 1999 Skyline R34 GTR 1999 Yellow Vspec 36000km |
You're not actually making much profit. They thought they were going to until costs starts racking up. Some of them listed are really just trying to break even now. I was actually thinking of doing it, then realize not that many people gonna dump 60k on a v spec. People don't even know what's the difference between v spec and regular, and there's a huge price difference. Grade 4+ gt-r, even regular edition is 30k+ just on car price. Then factor in shipping, duties, taxes, car modifications to BC standard, easily pushes the car to 45-50k. V-specs adds another 10-15k. Other limited editions ones just skyrockets. Many listed on CL are R grades or 3, 3.5's and they still have a high car price. This is why I ditched importing a R34, even just the Gtt and got an evo 6 instead. |
