Shark Tank will only consider it if he won the lotto.

Then he'd consider a 993.

if it is, it looks good on paper, but i've never seen it in person. it has a reinik rb28 in it.

the r32 might also be his. i remember something about the two cars being shipped together via container, not ro/ro... unless something had changed, the owner is the same person with the yellow r34 gtr that has been seen at the thurs meets.

They were shipped by container, we picked them up at a destuffing warehouse which is where the photo was taken

must be it then. i was not sure because the pictures of it landed here do not show the stickers it had when it was still in japan. i recall the owner saying he was getting paintwork done while it was still there because they still use the good paint, not the waterborne crap we have to use here by law for environmental reasons...

that white color/bbs wheel/bodykit setup is oddly popular in japan. i've seen at least two others that look just like it pass through auction online.

Hi,

I would like to know how I can import an unmolested 1999 or 2000 V-spec into BC. By "unmolested", I mean with a minimum number of of aftermarket parts, stock/OEM muffler and exhaust, OEM 180 km/h speedometer, etc. Preferably sub-70,000 km but I'm not picky.

I've entertained a few options:

1. Have an importer in Canada (like Japanoid or Vancouver Velocity Cars) find the car for me after I put in a deposit. However, I hear that's an expensive way to do it.

2. Get in touch with a domestic exporter like Japan Partner in Osaka or Brave Auto International. Either search their databases or pay a deposit so they can look for the car I want.

3. Search the domestic auctions myself, either with a paysite or a free site (pravato.ru)

4. A combination thereof; perhaps looking through Goo Net Exchange or Kakaku/Carsensor and arranging for an exporter to ship it. I would then have a customs broker in BC take care of the paperwork and inspections when it reaches the port.

How much should I expect to spend to get the car in drive-away condition? There's the shipping fee, the roll on-roll off fee, various customs fees, a brokerage fee, RIV/ICBC inspection fees, and so on. However, I have estimated that assuming a domestic price of approximately 3.4-3.5 million yen, the all-in price would be CAD $40-42,000 at a minimum (more if I go through a domestic importer).

How do I find a reputable exporter? A concern that won't roll back the kilometres on the odometer clock or tamper with the auction sheet.

Say I can't exactly find a bone stock model. Are there any websites or businesses that sell OEM BNR34 parts? I don't really like the aftermarket body kits and exhausts.

I've been searching the JDMVIP and GTRCanada forums but a lot of the information is scattered or outdated.

try Contact | Pacific Coast Auto Imports

derek has a youtube channel showing the cars he exports, and a separate channel for business releated questions, if that helps you get an idea of what he deals with.
