If you're planning on towing, however, you would severely compromise that ability by lifting the truck. Lift = Soft Suspension, which is no good for towing capacity or the way it pulls.

I swore I posted from my phone. Da fuq. I want a Ram Runner kit, but its like 14k for all the shit installed, and thats from Kore Offroad, not Dodge. Dodge is 30k all in I believe. Ram Runner kit and supercharger setup with a 2800 stall, I would be a happy happy camper.

I've ridden shotgun in my friends Ford Raptor while she tows 5000lbs, and no doubt, it's an awesome off-road truck. As a tow vehicle, however, it's capacity is limited to 8000lbs, as opposed to a standard F150, with a capacity of 11300lbs. The capacity drops in spite of increased stopping and pulling power, because the softer performance rear suspension travels far too much. You can really feel that trailer lean into corners with the truck even with a weight distribution hitch, and that is not a comfortable feeling. I'm not familiar enough with truck suspensions to say what lifting option would be best for towing. You could lift it, and add air bags, but the airbags would defeat the performance of the lift.

The Raptor sucks for towing because it has a weak frame. They bend like pretzels when being jumped.

wouldnt an airlift system solve the towing issue?

he could get a remote controlled airlift installed to increase the firmness of the rear when towing.

2013 Ram has air suspension. Seems like a good option to pick up.

I have a 2011 F350 6.7L Powerstroke, it rocks.

amazing thing is that on the highway I get 25mpg for a tank this size.

Microsoft sync works good and the seats are comfy but I must say, the dodge ram has a way better interior.

I would wait for the new silverado coming out in January if you can delay your purchase.

One thing Americans can do better than anyone is pick-up trucks. Toyota/Nissan are just small fry.

I've had alot of experience with the F350's they are absolutely amazing from what i have experienced. I'd honestly go domestic for trucks. If the hilux was out here I'd grab one tho :P.

Agreed that Nissan and Toyota are small truck players. Neither offer a diesel option, a one ton, or a dually. But they do small trucks far better than the domestics. I can't fault your F350, as they are sweet haulers. But we're talking half ton pickups here like the F150, the Ram 1500, and the Silverado.

That sway bar mount is hilariously prone to failure.

I'm a Ford guy but I have heard the facelift F150 has better brakes and sway bar but one thing Toyota does best is studying trucks from competitors and engineering a more reliable/stronger part.

I am loving how trucks are starting to adopt air suspensions and xenon-lights. After seeing the Ram, I'm excited for the technology in the next generation F150/F350!

For half-ton pick-up I dream of the day the Tundra comes with a hino diesel or a ram with a smaller cummins engine! I would downsize asap when that happens

If your going to be hauling and can afford it go dodge cummins with 6speed. It's win win and at the end it'll have a higher resale and it'll be a quicker sell.
