doritos, just use your 3 winters and 1 all season. Mount the 2 winters in the back and the 1 winter and 1 all season in the front. These guys are too focused on proving each other wrong with their huge E-peens. Some of the replies here are just..

I used to work for Canadian tire and now I work for Honda. Although it is not recommended to run two sets of mismatched tires, it would definitely be best to put them on the rear, regardless if it's rwd or Fwd (don't even think about doing this on a awd say goodbye to the diff ). We even have a bulletin sent out by Honda telling us to put the snow tires in the rear and basically all Hondas are Fwd. The last thing you want is to have the rear fishtail out when stopping suddenly


Anyway I would put two snow tires on the rear and your two atrs on the front. Wait for the snow tire to come and then throw them both on. Ps I have the achilles tires and they suck ass.. LOL

I don't need the internet, i have real world results.

how many people here have run 2 snow tires on the front with good all seasons on the back? probably a lot. I have done it for many years. i've also been working in the auto industry the last 5 years (not for an awesome shop like can tire tho) and i've put plenty of snow tires on, and many of them have been just 2, in the front, of fwd cars. i've never ever ever heard of a car with 2 front snow tires crashing because the front tires have SO MUCH FUCKING GRIP compared to the rear tires, even with people using bald ass rear tires.

common fucking sense man, use it. the rear tires are along for the ride, and you have to fuck shit up pretty bad (not just hit the brakes) to loop a fwd car with only snow tires on the front.

i'm not going to get into every car i've owned and what snow tires i've had before but i've been around a lttle longer than the average kid who'se been brain washed by a manafacturer video telling pre-apprentices to put the best tires on the rear so they can sell more tires.

I will say that i live in squamish and go to whistler all the time, and i only have 2 snow tires on my fwd car, using really good all seasons on the back. i also drive my car as agressively as one can do in a turbo 1.4 fwd, but i've never lost my shit in the snow, full lock up, turning, speeding whatever the fuck i want, and not once have i ever had the slightest feeling of my rear end coming around, and if i fucked up so bad that my rear end wanted to start doriftoing like a fucking champ, i can guarantee that no snow tire is going to hold me back from becoming the next DK.

Jist of it is, they're priced high because they are indeed relatively expensive to make as well as labour intensive.

That being said, I still think they're overpriced haha.
