Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes:
Unfortunately there are some dog owners in the area that are not responsible enough to clean up after their dog and their poop on my lawn. Is there any repellent I can use to keep them off my lawn? I don't want to hurt any animals, I just don't want fresh crap on my lawn as my wife and baby walk across the grass to get to the car.
Googling listed scented liquids like vinegar or acidic fruits like lemons around the border would work and some specialty products that are quite pricy and i can't find 'em locally. any suggestions?
thanks for the ideas. i thought about a sign but figured the owner is not responsible enough to care about a sign, but the fake lawn chemicals harmful to pets sign might work. huge skull is a nice touch
i'll have to laminate it so it'll survive the elements. Thanks.
Peppercorns work too. put a shit load of peppercorns in the area. dont need to warn the dog owner the dog will stay away the smell is too intense for there noses. if you want to step it up pepper spray the area needed.

I read somewhere that if you pour bacon grease over the dog poop, they'll eat it. Imagine the owners freaking out watching their dogs eating it? Probably start walking on the other side of the street.
My ex-coworker had a problem with someone who was constantly walking their dog and pooping on their front lawn. He tried signs, but the guy didn't care. Finally - he installed a high quality webcam, went through hours of footage to find out who it was. He printed out a picture of the guy, and posted it all around the neighbourhood on all the lamp posts, etc. The guy stopped doing it.

i heard coffee grounds works wonders to repel dogs from pooping on your lawn. go to any starbucks and ask if they can give you some. some even have baskets that already has coffee grounds all bagged up and you can take as much as you like.

Im building a fence in the summer, i have the same problem and I have yet to find any "home remedy" that really works. Im in the same boat as you as I dont want to hurt any animals. A fence is 100%...
