Do any of you work at the Richmond Auto Mall or know someone that does? Do any of you work at the Richmond Auto Mall or know someone that does? My parents are looking to get a new compact SUV/Cross over (in the next 6 months) and I figured I'd see if any of you work there so we can possibly give you the commission/sale when they buy their new vehicle. We'll be going to the auto mall Dec 26, fyi. They are looking at (in no particular order): 1) Audi Q5 2) BMW X3 3) VW Tiguan Handling and safety is top priority for them. Thanks Merry Christmas!!! (ps. sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I wasn't sure where to post this) |
theres no BMW at the automall, just a heads up. |
Tiguan is a huge step down from the first two options, just so you're aware. At least give us a price range to work with. |

GLK diesal Posted via RS Mobile Posted via RS Mobile |
The Q5 would be my number one choice, Followed by an FX35. |
If handling is a priority, why look at SUVs...they're not exactly go-karts. Do they actually want "handling" or is this just a word people toss around? 1) Audi Q5 2) BMW X3 3) VW Tiguan |
My parents are replacing their '93 325i. They also have a X5. They didn't want another sedan because they want a bigger vehicle. They are used to BMW handling and can definitely tell the difference. My dads friend told him about the tijuan and he liked it and the fact it's German made, so that's why they are considering it. Posted via RS Mobile |
totally forgot about the glk. thanks Posted via RS Mobile |
A few of my friends got the X1 and it's pretty good. |

They have an x5, and are considering also having an x3? The uglier smaller version that isn't actually smaller at all? Very odd. Why not a newer 3 series touring if they want extra storage space? And keep the x5 for " off road use" Posted via RS Mobile |

OP does the car HAVE to be german? or are alternatives considered? |
In before T4 suggests 4 runner :lawl: But on a serious note... Have you considered a 4runner OP? Meets your parents criterias. But I guess you are looking for german cars |
with the cars he was looking at I was going to suggest a gx460 :fullofwin: i dont think a 4runner would meet his parents criteria especially when they have an x5. |
fuck no, not the X3 New X3 has shitty handling, no feed back, no suspension and fuck the fuel efficiency if you get a 4 banger tarbo. Only good thing about it is its bigger and sits like a X5. I recommend you try something else. If you're buying an audi, stay away from audi ricemond... :lawl: no explanation needed. Tiguan is not bad and quite cheap nowadays especially with such a crowded market. When loaded to the brim it is comparable with luxury SAVs. GLK is pretty good too, but not alot of space in the seats and trunk. I'm waiting for the diesel version to arrive but V6 has plenty of power. Try to see if you can get GLK w/o amg rims :fullofwin: |

The Tiguan starts at $27,875 while everything else OP listed starts at $10,000 more (Q5 $39,900 and GLK $44,900). The Tiguan is not a direct competitor to the Q5 or the GLK. If the Tiguan's in the picture, it'll be the CR-V, RAV4, Escape, CX-5, RVR, etc. that it's up against. The Q5 and GLK go up against the XC60, FX35, RX350, X3, RDX, etc. Quote:

Seriously test drive it before buying since it doesn't feel like a BMW anymore . Autowest isnt that far from automall, just a 5min drive... |

If you want to check out the x3, give my buddy Tyler Bothwell at Autowest a shout. He's one of my best friends and I think he's helped a few people on RS that I already referred. Tell him Brian sent you! |
