Still at winter height, but stoked to try the new shoes on. I'll have it an inch and a half or so lower when I have some time soon, as well as 5mm spacers depending on how the camber comes in. Big thanks to my buddy John in west van for not refusing to mount tires with a stretch and keeping my freshly refinished wheels looking freshly refinished.

Your winter height is lower than 99% of people's summer height.

Haha I look at my car right now and think, "man it would be nice if it wasn't sitting so high." I have been driving low cars since I was 16, and I'm 27 now. Most of that was done on edmonton too, where the roads were horrendous, and winters were way crazier. Since moving to Vancouver I feel like I'm in low car heaven! There were a few scary subframe smashes last summer, but this car is pretty low driving safe so its no big deal.

Fair enough... I just truly don't understand why someone would want something that low at all. If someone throws coilovers on and lowers it an inch, Then i understand that as they wanted to improve handling, But this stupid "slammed" thing seems to be like the new hondas and fart cannons

Just a style. I don't really care much about driving fast, because I don't have a car that is really made for it, nor anywhere to do it. The low/stance lifestyle has had enough of a following/longevity to not really consider it a fad anymore IMO. When I was in junior high/high school, my best friends were from germany and hungary and we always checked out the european car mags and this was the style long before it was here, so it shaped my love for the style at a young age. I don't need an amazing handling car, and the fact is, it being lowered 4+inches, with sticky tires and wide wheels, it still handles better than stock, and is fun as hell for me in the process. Also the fact that I've had everyone from kids to senior citizens tell me how awesome the car looks and have conversations about it is gratifying. No word of a lie, a 90 year old woman said my car was one of the nicest cars she had ever seen, and it was only because it was red, clean, low and wide.

It's so impractical though... I couldn't imagine trying to get over speed bumps, in and out of sloped driveways etc. I scrape on my driveway and over high speed bumps stock height.

500hp street cars are impractical. Destroying your clutch in traffic trying to feather your clutch is ridiculous, doesn't mean it isn't awesome. Modding cars is the epitome of impractical. I don't want to fill this thread up with a debate though. All I'm getting at is that there are many styles, this ones mine, and your is yours. If everyone had the same idea in mind, it would get real boring.

I avoid speedbumps and scrape the bottom of my car daily entering my underground parking. Zero fucks given. Sorry for all the off topic convo to anyone this bothers, I just hate not answering questions.

Meant for daredevil
Look man, it's a difference of opinion.

If you can't, or don't think you can, handle it, then don't lower your ride that much. This is exactly the reason why most of us don't.

Doesn't mean you have to go and demand others to think like you do.

Doesn't really serve to strengthen your argument when you just said 2 posts ago that your stock car has the same problems that a "hellaflush" car has

Anthony's rx7 and my 240sx. I love when I can grind my lip into the ground and it still refuses to pop off or break lol.
Going to be scared shittless when I go with something else.
