My Varrstoens 2.2.2 have been holding up perfectly fine after months of daily driving on crappy roads with potholes, no bends at all. They are pretty light for replica wheels, but the real Volks weighs twice as light.
Did I see you on Oak street northbound around 2am ish last wednesday? You turned out from a side street IIRC

I've seen your car around Richmond quite a few times. Looking good.

@LSF22
Yeahh that's me, I think I saw you too in a black sedan? I pretty much only drive my G35 up and down oak street and also into Richmond a couple times a week.
@j.f0ng
Thanks :) What car do you drive?

Blue GD3 Fit. I don't think you've seen me though, since I always see your car when its parked, and plus I probably blend in with the rest of Richmond :okay:
Yours truly on the right, jtanner_ on the left. United for the first time
I'm no SFU graduate but that doesn't look like the same parking lot

If you come here right now I'm still at the exact spot at SFU surrey campus. Pics look off due to sunlight and brightness adjustments maybe? One sat outside and one sat behind it undercover. However jtanner_ already left since he had nothing to study for.

West mall center, basically when your at tim hortons, go up one level and walk west, the top level looks almost identical to that.
Anddddd because this thread calls for it, 2013 has been a shitty year for my ride. Entire month of feb (almost) it was out of service because the rad committed suicide. As it sits right now, almost ready to be driven again ... great time for it to die too, right before second round of midterms :okay:

Haha I heard that a lot but,
I'll be very honest, this truck has been very reliable despite what all my friends/family said when I bought it. I honestly haven't done anything besides normal fluid changes till now .. and I drive it 60-100kms everyday
Coolant was going missing so I parked it, thinking it was a bad headgasket or something. Did some investigation, and realized it was the rad. Considering the cooling system is almost 10 years old and the last time it was serviced was in 2008, I figured it was time to do a ton of preventative maintenance.
I also have a very bad habit of ordering parts to fix problems, but never installing them.
So when my jeep gets back on the road sometime this week, it's going to have:
Spoiler!
New brakes/rotors/brake fluid
New power steering fluid
New water pump, serpentine belt, thermostat + housing
All new hoses + clamps
Clutch fan delete
New radiator + transmission cooler hardlines,
Transmission in/out speed sensor
Fix rear diff leak + new rear diff fluid
AC system recharged, new AC condenser
new HID harness + ballasts (kept burning out, so I put in a harness)
Finally installed an aux jack I bought for my alpine a year ago
6 liters of synthetic oil, new wix filter
wix cabin air filter
new PCV valve + hose
new radiator fan relay (known to go bad, mine was original .. plus easy as hell to replace with bumper off)
Left to install, but no time
-staggered SRT satin black reps
-tie rod end bushings
-steering stabilizer, eibach springs, bilstein shocks
-blend door repair kit (replaces the OEM doors that open/close valves in the heating system .. they're known to go bad and you get stuck with either hot air or cold air blasting you in the face 24/7)
Debating buying new PIAA horns + LED taillights
Wow .. didn't realize it was so much.
I started ordering parts and it just kinda snowballed.
I didn't need 90% of the stuff i bought, so don't think domestics are expensive to own ... I just wanted to do a ton of preventative maintenance while I could :)
It's more an obsession than anything else. I'm afraid if I take it to a shop I can afford, they're gonna treat it like a 10 year old heap of crap, but to me its my baby, so I'd rather fix everything myself :fullofwin:
