Spent almost 9 hours detailing my car. So tiring but it was worth it.

There are different trains of thought on engine break-in but since you're going on a 1600km road trip, that in itself will already have broken in the motor and I'm assuming it will be all highway mileage. This is good!

Then again, some people get new cars and red line their motors up Cypress and bomb it back down and have had no problems (I did this on my motorcycles/scooters.)

But of course, there's the talk about how motors are broken in from the factory but who knows for sure. Have fun and take pics! :D

Thanks! I'm a fairly firm believer in RTFM (read the fucking manual) and under break in it says to avoid high speeds, and most importantly to avoid constant speeds (i.e cruise control) during the first 1000 miles (~1600km) it sounds reasonable enough to me.

1974 Vespa 90 with a Polini kit @ 125cc, 4 speed manual. This thing would eat cars off the line. The motor would start singing at 30km/h.
2005 Vespa P200E, 4 speed manual.
