However, not sure about what you said about the "driving dynamics" being much better than the 435i or the S4, because what you said was very far "fetched".
Just curious if you have had hands-on experience with the CLA45 AMG (which isn't even out yet in Canada to the best of my knowledge), maybe read some reviews from trusted car sites (which I could not find for S4/435i/CLA45 AMG comparisons), or, just an assumption? | I've test driven the CLA 250, the car is very nimble and extremely fun to drive. The car is very grounded and has a very "BMW" like driving feedback through the chassis and steering response. I haven't driven a CLA 45 yet, but based on reviews I've seen recently, it's definitely going to be a great car. I would agree with the consensus that the centre navigation console is bloody hideous, but this is the direction MB is going for with their New Generation of Compact Cars(NGCC) line-up, I would think the future GLA would follow the unfortunate footsteps as well. If you think about it from a buyers prospective, this car definitely has broad appeal, from 1 - 4 series buyers to A3 to A5 buyers and not to mention taping into the EVO and STI market.
I've driven B8 A4 and S4, let's just say I sold my manual A4 within a year of ownership based on the extreme boring drive "feel". My S4 test drive didn't feel much different as I was very disconnected with the road and steering response was lacking. Then I went for the 335i, which I absolutely loved. The reason why I'm saying this car has better driving dynamics than the 435i is because it is made and engineered by AMG division, just like I'm a believer in the M-division. I didn't mention interior, technology, or design. Just the overall driving dynamics. I made the comparison only to express my opinion from a previous post. I guess we'll wait for the reviews to really validate CLA 45's achievement, or therefore a lack of. |
