Probably has to do with the fact that the slushbox versions of both my past car(08 Accord Coupe V6) and my current car(09 RX-8) are very disappointing compared to the manual versions. I understand that some 2-pedal are faster than 3-pedal nowadays, but really, how many people buy AT cars because they are faster, not because they can't drive a stick? It's just hard for me to really like CVT. Yeah, it can do nice MPG and optimize every RPM and speed combination, but if I feel sleepy and bored in a stepped AT already, I think I will need 2 big cups of coffee in the cup holder to stay awake in a CVT. |
Spoiler! lol i don't even bother replying to lowballs anymore |

a cvt sti however should exist in the first place. modding that is a double fail |

They didn't disappoint. Quote:
And same could be said for RX-8 AT. |

I've had a dealership offer me $4k on a trade in. Accounting for the money saved from taxes, that's worth ~$4.5k. So I listed my car for $6.5k, expecting some room to negotiate. And this guy has the guts to tell me via email that he'll give me $2k cash and take the car right away. Yeah fxxking right... Ended up trading the car in (at $4k) because I didn't want to bother with these fxxkers anymore... |
Just send the lowballers on a wild goose chase. Meet location Chilliwack or some absurd believable location. |
^ not a bad idea :considered: |

BUT, just because I have a bunk left knee and can't daily drive manual transmissions means I have to be happy with the way my car comes from the factory? i'm not allowed to make it look how I want it to look, or make it faster than how it originally was, or handle better? sure, if your goal is to build the fastest car on the streets/track then I definitely see the point. But to say that it's unworthy just because of the transmission is kind of silly. |

Petrokov? https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...238597676.html https://images.craigslist.org/00t0t_...Ba_600x450.jpg Selling iconic 1985 Hyundai Pony with automatic. Well preserved and everything is original. Hyundai Pony is sold in Korea for $20000 ~$60000 as it is an iconic vehicle for Korean automobile history. Also demand for Hyundai Pony in the movie industries are huge but there aren't many available anymore. Thus the value of Hyundai Pony will get sky rocketing over years. Buy it for investment, I unfortunately have to sell it due to moving. |

1997 Nissan 240SX - 676 orig miles! YES 676! - $100000 https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/c...295172120.html https://images.craigslist.org/00b0b_...Z_1200x900.jpg Ad copied in here Spoiler! That all sounds really neat, until you realize it's a base model. There's no way in hell the "specially built" car for auto shows would be a base model with only a few options, and the S14 with a KA24 was only sold in North America so why would it have been used at international auto shows? Apparently the CarFax checks out as a 1 owner, 676 mile car, but the story behind it is b/s. |

^ remarkable photography in that ad. |

Why the fuck would you put a lamp on your trunk and post it on a FS ad..? And that mismatched interior.. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/...383839594.htmlhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...40b87cd51d.jpg Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |
Semi-related, I haven't posted anything on CL for a while. I put up my wife's iPhone and within 2 hours I got 15 texts/emails. 14 out of 15 o them felt like a scam. They all go along the lines of: "Hi there I'm interested in your phone, I'll need you to ship it out to (insert random city) because it's for my wife/son/gerbil/donkey. I'll give you an extra $200 for your troubles. I can do Moneygram/Paypal." I just copy/pasted my reply to all of them "Thanks for your interest however I do prefer selling locally, if I don't get it sold I'll let you know" I didn't even want to waste my time. However I am curious, if I did follow up on the text, how would it work? Wouldn't I ask for the paypal transaction first, then ship it out? Or do these people already have a systematic way of asking you to ship first then don't pay? |
It's amazing (and pretty sad) how well received my emails are, when they don't sound like they're sent by a 17 year old crackhead, that can't form a proper sentence. Still got it? I want to see it send me you're number. I'll buy it right now for :lowball: Fuck off. |
