Pricing is a bit excessive. https://www.autotrader.ca/a/toyota/s...x=50&modalXS=1 |

Fuck... the outright laziness of asking 3x-ish the going price for a car and not even bothering to get it ceramic coated (or at least detailed) or getting the haze out of the headlight? Let alone that it's blowing blue on startup likely if the valve steam seals are gone. What an asshole. |

It's never insured, so you have to insure it. Parts are hard to find, you worry about it 24/7 hoping no one rear-ends you. You pray to Jesus no one dings your door or find some kids leaning on it for a picture when you step away for 5mins. When you put years and years into something, spend hundreds of hours chasing down parts. It strikes the fear of God into me every time I roll it out of the driveway, even though it's all insured. Insurance money can't get back all the emotional investment you have into something. It gets to a point where it just zaps the fun out of driving it for fear of losing it. I sit in my car sometimes but have not driven it in 2 years now. I 100% get why some people don't drive them. |
^ or cuz VPD has no gang shootings to deal with and everyone's car on here is illegal |

Living in fear of driving the car you dreamed of driving |
You can find joy in putting something together. Just like a big model kit. The ppl that have done it will understand. |
I used to think the same way, I didn't want to hurt it or risk someone else damaging it. Then I realized that eventually every car will be destroyed. One way or another it will eventually leave your hands and end up owned by someone who will not baby it and who won't care for it properly. I know a bunch of friends who have sold their babied cars and had that happen. At that point I went fuck it, if someone's gonna have fun risking damage to my car it may as well be me. I'm not going to baby it for a couple decades just so some kid can go Ken Block it into a lamp post. Now I'm not saying there's a wrong way to enjoy your car, but don't let fear cause you to miss out one of the best aspects of them. |
What is that supra actually worth? |
^ more than you can afford pal, supra:joy: |

Guy's totally out to lunch. Even $80k CDN would be a reach let alone $180k with issues. |
i would def look for endless alternative options at 180g lol, and this is coming from someone who's appreciated supras for decades |

Why do so many people brag about having BC Racing as their suspension... it's literally one (small) step up on China eBay shit. |
I've ran them and they've held up over the years. Better than the shit teins that rust up. I think they were the first under $1000 that offer decent QC and very customisable. Regular length, extreme drop kit, different spring rates, swift spring upgrade. |
I've read about Tein's rusting out, but I've run some of their systems on a couple cars and didn't have any problems. I guess it depends where you live / what conditions you drive in. |
$22k USD for this shitbox 180SX. American "importers" are hilarious. https://www.facebook.com/RHDSpecialt...29995563818961 https://scontent.fyyc2-1.fna.fbcdn.n...73&oe=60C102DD https://scontent.fyyc2-1.fna.fbcdn.n...f0&oe=60C37BCB |
So that's where my missing sock went. |
180k, I’ll take an AMG GTS thanks and not have to look like a Paul walker wannabe lol |
