Normal is like less than 3-5000km a year. Anything more is considered high.

A 458 with over 30,000km would be quite challenging to sell even if the DEALERSHIP only service history is complete.

This was on sale in Langley a couple of weeks ago for just under $7,000. The seller was nice and thorough in explaining the work he did to it which made it a pretty good deal. I was going to look at it but he told me it sold.

Then, this dilly bar comes along and is clearly flipping it. I hope he sits on it like a fresh squeezed turtle head.

Badhobz 08-31-2022 05:24 PM

Fuck that dude.

underscore 08-31-2022 06:00 PM

So to clarify you have to go through the hassle of building up a relationship with the worlds whiniest car manufacturer just so you can spend a fortune to buy a car that's so badly made you have to spend another fortune to have them maintain it while you don't actually drive it. If you do drive it, or have anyone else fix it, it's worthless.

And people buy this crap?

Badhobz 08-31-2022 06:12 PM

Bingo

Makes about as much sense as the luxury watch market or having 5ex wives.

trollface 08-31-2022 06:43 PM

Sounds kinnda fun if you're rich.

Financial domination

underscore 09-02-2022 11:17 AM

If you're actually rich though why care about maintaining resale value?

"Minor engine fire"

When you try to play it off as if there is an acceptable amount of fire that a car could have in the engine bay which also caused it to become salvage.

Yes it’s stock, yes it’s low mileage. But it’s an automatic narrow body base model naturally aspirated Impreza. Literally no one wants that car. And in the ad he admits it was a trade in, so they probably offered grandma $3000 for it. And he’s asking 17k lol

68style 10-31-2022 08:26 AM

Lol smell those granny farts coming out of those cloth seats

underscore 10-31-2022 09:45 AM

And it's been sitting in that nice salty air for a year

A bit of a rant post but posting this POS so ppl dont waste their time with this junk.

This thing was originally posted for $3900. A Supercharged A4 3.0 with a 6spd manual already on winter tires for $3900? Fuck, its cheaper than buying winter tires and wheels for my car! So why not, i went to go check it out.

I get in, first thing i notice is the odometer reading near 290k, not 260k.
Inside reeked like weed, used matches piled up in ashtray. Coolant level light comes on lol. Supercharger pulley also squeels like shit, owner brings a spray and sprays the belt and says its fine now.

Cars is also a rebuilt title which is NOT mentioned, He just brushes off lightly when asked about it.
Says he owned it for 3 years but the invoice he provides shows a completely different owner literally early this year. hand brake doesnt work.

Some douchebag kid who probably doesnt have a job. Looked like he just woke up out of bed at 12pm. Asking me why im so hard with the car when all i did was slight pulls and a downshift on a test run to make sure the thing doesnt fall apart.

Shortly after he jacked up the price by $100, and now at 4g lol.
Car straight up belongs in a junkyard

trollface 11-03-2022 01:29 PM

Anyone that drives a car like that is 99% a stoner kid.

Man, the Nomadland life is real in Vancouver. There are so many pockets of people living in their vans. Bridgeport in Richmond is exploding. Nanaimo & Grandview. Prior Street East Van/Strathcona area. Spanish Banks/Jericho beach.

What I want to know, is why are you searching for Tylenol on CL

x-files theme song plays in background

radeonboy 11-17-2022 11:29 PM

^Think the seller is trying to take advantage of the kids Tylenol shortage.

They are selling it for what it cost them though? Seems like they are trying to help someone that needs what they don’t if anything, unless they edited the ad since posted.

GS8 11-18-2022 11:13 AM

Old / expired children's medicine sold at cost with unknown storage conditions (cabinet cannot guarantee cold & dry).

For me, that's a hard fail.

westopher 11-18-2022 11:22 AM

Medicine doesn’t have a self destruct sequence that hits the day the best before date passes.

Badhobz 11-18-2022 11:37 AM

If she was truly altruistic she would just give this stuff away. Clearly she still wants to recoup her initial 12 dollars.

While I understand your perspective, by giving it away for free, say something happens? (i.e. medicine wasn't effective, got my kid sicker, insert random problem here etc.) it may be a big liability thing. But then again, selling it is too. :suspicious:

underscore 11-18-2022 12:37 PM

It also keeps away the assholes who would take it even though they don't have kids to try and flip it.

If you are spending time picking up a 13$ item to resell...... You have bigger life problems to deal with
