This is kind of a toss up.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks

Acura Type R with a K20 all motor build making 286 HP for 68K.

Anyone who knows my build is getting the best of the best. If you're broke and have a dream. Keep it that way. Looking to get $68,000.

I still don't understand all the people that spend all that time and money on a project, then sell immediately after completing. This looks like another one of those, only 250km on the motor.

That's when you know you have made it in life, buy a dead "rare" car for 10k, dump in 100k over a year, or five.... "Complete" your project, sell it because your bored, then buy the next one.

I dislike k20 swapped dc2 type Rs. I feel like it just ruins the whole chassis from a purist point of view. K swaps should be done on dc4s or GSRs, but that’s just me lol.

Unless its a rebuilt or theft recovery. From a drivers point of view K20 would bring the chassis to life. From a collector/enthusiast point of view it would make the car less desirable.

I wonder what Blue Star would do with my 2003 GT-S 6-spd that only had 83,000kms on it lol
I bought a 2005 Corolla XRS brand new from Downtown Toyota. Had the same 2ZZ-GE except detuned on horsepower but I think had some better low end torque.

That 2ZZ-GE sounded great, but coming from a smaller 6 cyl engine the lack of torque on the 1.8 was a real "wtf did I get into" moment lol. I eventually got used to slipping the clutch perfectly and could accelerate pretty decently. Except off the line I'd get whipped by a Dodge Caravan.

Yah it's not a good engine off the line... but it's fun when you're already moving on the highway! The cam changeover is soooo short though, from where it starts to redline is blink and you miss it. Sounds great though.

The 2AR engine from the Camry Hyrbid with the hybrid shit removed and the exhaust cam changed out is taking over as a popular high revs Toyota swap… 9,000rpm is possible!

Selling anything for an older car in Canada is awful. It's hard enough to source parts locally. And while it's great to support the local community and give back, $500 USD is a lot more money than $500 CAD.

I love the 2ZZ and the sounds it makes, but the aftermarket just isn't there. Even the most insane streetable versions only makes about 220hp whereas a K20/24 will dish out 240.

You can get a lot more than 220 out of a 2zz with a super charger. Not sure what fits on a matrix though.

Cuz isn’t that what lotus uses ? The 2zz ? Although people say the k20 swap are way more exciting than the 2zz.

I should have said all motor. 220 out of a 1.8 is still nothing to sneeze at, but the K20 is just so much stronger.

Yep, and places like Hanger 111 get 280-300 out of that little 1.8. Torque isn't all that special but it does spin up to 8.5k RPM.

https://www.hangar111.com/shop/super...arger-kit.html

The K20a may be a better motor, but (and I could be very wrong here) I thought I heard it didn't take forced induction as well as the 2zz. Also, I think Lotus went with the Toyota because it was slight cheaper, and there relationship with them was much better at the time than it was with Honda.
