RHMadness 01-27-2013 06:52 PM

I am kind of an OffRoad newb as well lol.. would have loved to learn from you guys.. Let me know the time and place for the next one and I will be there for sure... I still think we should meet for coffee for some discussion before actually going mudding lol.. By the way I have a RAM 1500 levelled on 35s..

1500's on 35s will just plow through triangle beach :lawl:

We could setup a meet thread, on here or the social meet forums. It'd be better if at least one experienced off-roader come join us tho.

RHMadness 01-27-2013 06:57 PM

RHMadness 01-27-2013 06:58 PM

The YJ and I are totally up for a mud pit ;)

RHMadness 01-27-2013 08:29 PM

lets do this tomorrow night?

TjAlmeida 01-27-2013 08:49 PM

don't know if it has been mentioned but why not just go to stave lake. Logging roads so everyone can go, trails for the rigs to go on. Just I don't know if tide is in or out.

I did stave and the mud was fun, but the road leading there is full of insane holes lol..
up to you guys..

Soundy 01-27-2013 08:54 PM

Stave is good for a practice run (and a lot closer for me!), good place for the newbs to get their wheels wet.

Edit: few summers ago we took the full-stock Pat up the main Stave logging road with a couple other Pat drivers... got ALMOST all the way to the end, but the CVT tranny didn't want to go up the last steep little bit (the other guys had the FDII drive so they had no problem).

Bottoming out was the least of my worries lol, I was more worried about that hill descent, no steering controls at all :lawl:

For road tires, the 4ETS and low range did okay (throttle wayyy too twitchy tho)

I wouldn't go at night, there are a lot of deep pits (especially on inclines) that you can't really see.

T4RAWR 01-27-2013 10:12 PM

Stave run sounds fine. West Harrison to hale or 20 mile bay would be fine too.

Pre meet at triangle is a good idea, that way we can see what vehicles won't be leaving hale/stave in one piece

I can do saturdays, but would have to be at a reasonable time as I work in coquitlam at 6pm.

Depending on what we decide to run i'll bring the dodge or the yota.

sdubfid 01-28-2013 06:56 PM

I can probably make wednesday early afternoon. I haven't been there in the daylight is there lots of garbage? I can bring a small bag to collect any non nasty junk. Also have a towstrap and shackles.

Soundy 01-28-2013 08:40 PM

Can't do this Wed., I'll be attending a pre-opening soiree at the new Coal Harbour Cactus Club :troll: Free drinks and appies served by hot chicks >> mudding.
