Had a client call me about Opti Coating his new Subaru BRZ. I was excited because after OC'ing close to 30 of these, this was the first one I had in Subaru Blue.
Presoaked in Exclusive Citrus at 7:1
Rinsed and washed with Dawn and Carpro Merino Wool Mitt
Wheels were pulled later and cleaned but were cleaned with Valet Pro Bilberry Wheel Cleaner at 3:1 and Exclusive APC at 3:1 for the tires
Car was dried with my Metro Blaster
After checking over the car and only finding two defects, the car was polished with Optimum Hyper Polish on a Blue B&S pad on my Griots to amp up the gloss a bit. Defects were removed with Megs MF disc and Menz FG400.
Car was wiped down with Carpro Eraser and Optimum Opti Coat applied to all exterior surfaces. Wheels were also prepped in the same fashion and coated.
Tires dressed with Four Star tire gel.
As it arrived. Quite clean considering it's the middle of the winter.
Both plates were removed so I could access and coat the bodywork underneath.
To help remove the road grime before washing and minimize potential swirls, the car was soaked in Exclusive Citrus at 7:1
Felt a little chilly this morning so I checked the temp gauge in my Passat. DAMN!!
Condition was very good. Only two areas that needed to be addressed. Dealers may be catching on.
A few swirls here to deal with.
This was the only scratch and was removed with Menz FG400 and a Megs MF disc.
All better
After OC was applied. I knew the wheels wouldn't be back on until it was dark so I rolled it outside to get some sun shots.
Wheels were removed for cleaning and coating.
Barrels after Opti Coating applied. As with the paint, if the wheels are properly prepped, the coating shouldn't come off. Makes cleaning the wheels easy with nothing more than soap and water.
Before reinstalling, the wheel nuts were cleaned. The ones on the left are still coated with shipping wax. The ones on the right have been cleaned and are ready for reinstallation.
Thanks for looking.
