I'm all for aggressive driving, but Perez pushed his luck today.

Yep, except in the beginning when their was some push from RBR this race was quite boring. I gotta re-watch some of the old Senna races to relive some of the more exciting races at Monaco and to see how he manages to actually make passes.

looks like pirelli didn't inform every team about the opportunity either as they were supposed to nor did they tell the FIA that a test would be going through (aside from a request) etc

pvr'd the whole Monaco GP but with the number of accidents, my box didnt record the last 20 laps.:okay:

^been there, done that so now I extend the end time by 1/2 hour when setting my PVR.

Same, but instead I do it for an extra hour! Just in case rain, red flags or delays!

pvr cut off a lap after the kimi/perez incident.. just after perez slid at the last corner before the entrance to the pit...

What's everyone's view on the Alonso vs Perez pass?
Fair to Alonso? Or do you think Alonso had no choice with cutting the corner?

P.S - Alonso was told to give up the position to Perez after the restart.

Perez is a straight up dickhead.

Sure he was one of the few people being super aggressive but you don't just take the inside /outside and straight into your opponents line and expect them to get the hell out of the way or crash and have to retire

Grosjean is a little bitch too....

Perez shouldn't be lunging from as far back as he was. If he was closer to Alonso by the end of the tunnel, I could understand a pass attempt, but he was dive bombing from 6 car lengths away.

Perez's fault, Alonso should have been allowed to keep his spot

"It was risky [the move on Raikkonen]," Perez admitted. "But I overtook Jenson, I overtook Fernando in the same place. Jenson overtook me in the same place.

"So at the end of the day you have to give some space. If you see the accident I hit the wall on the entry of the corner.

"Kimi didn't give me any room, there was nothing I could do to avoid it. If someone could avoid the accident it was Kimi.

"At the end of the day it doesn't matter how aggressive you are if you [aren't given] space."

His team-mate Button was a beneficiary of his retirement, the Briton finishing sixth having opportunistically passed Alonso after his Ferrari was delayed when Perez pulled off the circuit.

"The end result is OK, getting some good points," Button said. "It's a pity we couldn't get both cars in the points.

"We take positives in the way that the car feels here. The pace we really don't know because the cars in front were so slow today, I don't know why."
