But it's positive that he is looking towards next year and electing to do this now so he can prepare for the new season. If anything maybe this will give him the push to preform his best next year and take the championship. Everyone knows he's capable of doing it again... he just needs to make it happen. I think he's one of the most consistent and highest preforming driver in F1.

He could probably wait til the end of the season if he wanted to since its less than 2 weeks away but he's probably thinking "fuck em"
