Williams is struggling. The car looks aerodynamically sound but it has no mechanical grip. EG looked good until his spin. He should be able to prove his worth against Hulkenberg this year. Lotus, Ferrari, RBR, and Merc look to have their car pretty well figured out. I'd give McLaren until Catalunya to figure out their new rear suspension.

Either Kimi or Rosberg to win for me....

I will also take anyone not in the top 8 drivers to win as I have money down on that as well :)

Not really racist! 03-16-2013 09:36 PM

Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso :)

kohei 03-17-2013 09:04 AM

Lotus's strategy won the race.
Mclaren's car doesn't seem very fast this year .. The overhaul in the offseason didnt turn out so well ?

^
MP4-27 (2012) was fast but it had major reliability issues

MP4-28 (2013) reliability issues gone for now but lack speed (and a year full of "testing" like other teams)

Noran 03-17-2013 01:27 PM

Did anyone catch Massa's radio when he took the lead?

"OK WHAT DO WE DO"

impactX 03-17-2013 04:37 PM

^ he had clean air but his tires were in too bad of a shape to push.

HonestTea 03-17-2013 05:16 PM

FUCK YEAH! KIMIII!!! I'm glad it was Kimi that won and not Alonso :D won some money as well, although very little since I had to cover my losses for JB :(

I agree, Lotus's strategy won them the race. I hope Lotus can keep developing the car til the end of the season or else Kimi won't even stand a chance against the RBR/Ferrari and Mclaren development team.

McLaren's are looking slow right now, probably because instead of evolving their MP-27 car, which Jenson Button won in Brazil last year, they decided to build a totally different car, the MP-28 from scratch. They did it because the MP-27 was already at it's limit's in terms of developing it and they know, even if they win the first two races, they'll slowly fall behind in terms of development since the MP-27 already hit it's peak. So that's why they decided to build a new car and hoping they can develop it fast enough to catch up to RBR/Lotus/Ferrari/Mercedes.

I have no doubts about MCL being able to improve the car as they're up there in terms of developing the cars each and every year. Although, it depends on how fast they can do it, it might be too little too late if they catch up after the European leg of the season.. :(

This season should make for one interesting season and I hope Pirelli's don't make too much of a difference in races though or else it's gonna become who can save their tires the most :/

NEXT WEEK MALAYSIA! I hope for a damp and wet race :)

krazynuck 03-17-2013 05:35 PM

HonestTea how much did you win?

I also didn't win much as I bet very little on Kimi but a win is a win....I had money on Massa as well as he was part of the field so I was really pushing for him...

I am just happy to see some of the smaller teams to be more competitive now...especially force India

I will also make it a point to say right now that i strongly dislike Hamilton and hope he does not win a single race :)

vyrospec 03-17-2013 06:01 PM

Gotta give credits to Force India for the effort and the entertainment.

One of the highlights was Sutil's attempt in defending his place against Hamilton
Poor guy kept getting the blue flags :lawl:
