Thought on mercedes B250 Anyone here own one of these? Would like to know how costly are the maintenance fee like service and oil change. Comfortable to drive? |
Drove in one before, it feels like a heavy Honda Fit lol. The 08 gen B200 Turbo feels like it could be improved but ride feels quite comfortable...it's a Merc afterall. |
dont get it, think about it or even look at it. my sister had a B200, and holy shit it was crap balls. after the 3yr lease the car had little over 20,000KM and that piece of crap was breaking apart. windows don't function 20% of the time. the steering wheel made HUGE clunking noises while turning, brought it to MB over 4-6 times in the course of the 3 yr lease. MB couldnt fix shit, as well as the window problem. there were a lot more but i only drove it once in a blue moon. the plan was to keep the car cz of the low milage as well as the exterior was kept pretty mint. but yea, even my sister who knows squat balls about cars didn't wanna keep it. cant say the B250 is worst or better... but just dont. please dont. srsly... dont. |
better off with X1 or a matrix. |
Just no. |
new plateform, so dont know. doesnt share a thing with the b200. completely new plateform. A class, new B class 246plateform, and coming CLA and GLA (i believe also) all share the new plateform |
New B250 is great to drive and looks awesome too. Miles above the old piece of junk. The CVT was terrible as well. |
My sis has the new 2013 B200 in Asia...not a bad car, but definity not fun for guys to drive around. It fits for girls a lot more |
we only get the b250 here in canada. car sits a lot lower and looks more sporty than the 245 first gen b200. the interior is more cleaned up. has a lot of goodies off the higher end benzs. |
german :fuckthatshit: |
I would not do it eh. So many better cars out there. Posted via RS Mobile |

Overall its well priced but mercedes IMO is the most unreliable of the german brands and has by far the shittiest service departments (vancouver/richmond) |
Yeah the B-class seems quite weird, you can have all the cargo space in a fit or something cheaper. |
Are you talking the about new B class or the old one? New one has 7 speed DCT, should be much better than the old one. But after all, its a german :troll:; if you need to claim warranty, blow things out of proportion or else it will never get done. |
I'm talking about the new 2013 models. If you guy have a choice for a car that is around 29,000 dollars what are your options? Don't have to be bsporty. But still prefer nice and comfy interior. And thanks for all your input guys much appreciated. Posted via RS Mobile |

Bland, ugly and boring to drive. |

2014 Ford Mustang V6 (300HP and 30MPG+) you can order it with factory Recaros which are super comfy. |
why not wait for the CLA ? wouldn't be that much higher than the B class. SG! do you have a ball park figure of the starting CAD price for the CLA? |

400$ with 0 down... it's not bad but you can lease an accord too :fullofwin: |
Can't speak for the B250, but my friend had the B200, and like others said, it was pretty bad. Nothing but trouble. In regards to hatchbacks, I'd easily take a Fit, Prius C, Matrix, Mazda3... or almost anything over the Merc. Or if you must be fancy, there's the new(ish) Lexus CT thats 31k or so. |
LOL i like how people are suggesting B250 to camaro mustang brz/frs. Just like another thread a guy is asking for a full size sedan and they suggest STi or evo. :rukidding: I know this is a car forum and all, OP is looking to LEASE or FINANCE a economical hatchback. rates would be different is one thing and completely different cars are being compared. what would i suggest OP for 30 grand if i was ignorant? a tidy, used E39 M5. |
How about the Focus ST? Stylish and cool Brand new and in your price range. |
