^ I agree with what lowside67 said, it will perform poorly with drag tires, but who would go on a track with drag tires?
I think a lot of people try really hard to completely discredit the new mustangs. They're not all about acceleration anymore, I'm sure if this car had another badge on it a lot of people would feel differently

I'm not taking anything away from that car but it is a very different car and I bet a stock GT500 would be faster around a road course. It's not just the drag tires, it also has a complete different drag-specific suspension, smaller brakes up front to fit the skinnies, etc. It's a different car now.
A C6 Z06 wouldn't be as fast in a straight line on the drag strip but would murder it around the track for less money.

Definitely a lot more in it. Still have more boost on tap if we wish and it's still running 100% stock suspension and stock gears. With a gear change and some real suspension at this same power level, I'm sure at least a couple tenths can be knocked off.
