My deposit to Shakepay just went through within 30 minutes. But it's lagging on the withdrawal process due to issues.

https://status.shakepay.com/

Might try Newton.co next time and compare.

I feel like the only one having issue and being ignore lol

I saw people having less of an issue if they send less than $500. Maybe I will give that a try.

I've already incurred some charges for keep cancelling and resending to them. Really don't wan to do it another x amount of times...

Insane.

I took a look at the order book and there's sufficient volume too.

My ETH just got deposited into Binance. I think ShakePay fixed all their issues.

I am in the same boat as you. However my online banking shows that it was already accepted by Shakepay - so I cannot cancel the E Transfer. Not good at all since it has been 24 hours already.

I logged into my shakepay account today and received a msg indicating that they had updated the email address. I had a transfer pending for 3 days now but that was with the old email address. I ended up canceling the transfer, updating the email address, and sending it through again. Hopefully this is the reason for the delay...

So updates on Shakepay (for me at least) still have no receive any reply from the numerous support request I have send (email, the live chat and more emails)

receive several more email asking me to rate their service and suggest shakepay to friend

I’ve cancelled all my pending e-transfer. Incur more charges (btw Shakepay offer to pay these e-transfer cancellation charge per their representative on Reddit, fat chance of that happening if they can’t even answer support request)

Try sending another e-trAnsfer for $500. No response for 40mins.
Cancelled it and send $200 instead. Instant deposit by Shakepay.

Seem like smaller amount gets done immediately. Want to know if this is the same experience for other people?

I used the new email address. What I am frustrated with is that I can't even cancel the transfer because TD states that it went through. Meaning Shakepay has received the funds. So I am out thousands of dollars currently. Not cool.

Yah the twitter feed has a lot of accusations that coinbase is doing it on purpose to box out retail clients and allow corporate entities to buy up

I also noticed with coinbase now they're making it really had for you to withdraw money without going straight to Paypal............ so basically Paypal is getting your BTC and converting it to cash which is in line with the fact Paypal is heavily buying up BTC. Seems a bit conspirish.

Both PayPal and Wealthsimple does shady stuff like this. You can’t actually withdraw crypto to crypto but they let you “buy/sell” at their rate.

I honestly doubt this is a conspiracy thou. Corporation and heavy institution interest was not around last bull run and the same thing happened with exchanges.

Just buckling under the pressure too much transaction happening at once.

Interesting how while btc seems to have solve their own transaction delay problem, the primary exchange havnt and is still a bottom neck for people trying to use BTC

I just sent $2000. Transfer took 30 seconds to show up. Then I went to Binance. Took 2 mins to show up there

I’m new to crypto and I’m thinking about going with shakepay or Newton. Seems like Newton has better prices and more coin options but I don’t really want to link my bank account. Any pros and cons to each?

Shakepay —> Binance. All the coins you want to buy
Shakepay also gives out shakingsats (shake phone, free btc daily)

I just did another $1000. No issues.

Also, unless your buying a huge amount, don’t worry about the price so much. The difference isn’t that much off. My $1000 I bought on Shakepay went to Binance. I put it into stellar. That $1000 is currently worth $1040 So I gained already $40 plus whatever it cost to buy in shakepay and the cost to send to binance

Got any pointers? I have a 3080 and didn't realize you could make that much from mining.

Are you just using the NiceHash quick miner? Or manual configuration?

EDIT: Downloaded NiceHash Miner. No custom BIOS or tinkering with clocks, just an undervolt from my gaming profile. I'm getting around 70-80 hash depending on if I'm using the computer. How is yours so high?

Core i7 8700K with EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra.

PC specs doesn't really matter on mining.
Its on GDDR speed and tdp %

Your hashrate is low for RTX3080
Use MSI Afterburn or EVGA X1 to tweak it.
I set tdp at 70%, core speed -200, oc'ed memory +1200, fan speed 70%
temperature so far is 57c

some RTX 3080 has thermal throttle issue as i know.
try to bring temp down by cranking up fan speed, see if you get better hashrate

the earning on nicehash site is constantly jumping around.

Specs of the rest of the computer don't matter, only the GPU matters for ethereum. A 3080 will do 90 to 100 MH an month overclocked and the power limit set to about 70%. Power draw around 220 watts. That's about .2 eth a month. I use Nanopool to mine eth. Nicehash mines what ever is most profitable and pays you in BTC.

Yeah, I just found out that my Ventus needs thermal pads between the PCB and backplate to help cool the VRAM. The cheaper shit, but it was readily available and I liked the muted look. Who would've thought I might be mining..

I was reading people should be getting around 95-100MH/s.

I'm getting 83MH/s right now with a power draw of 48W based on what GPU-Z says. Not sure if that's accurate, but that seems pretty decent versus. 220W for 15% more hash. Fans spinning at 55-60% and pretty quiet.

EDIT: Nvm, I think it's using 202W based on the NiceHash output.

Ok, tweaked my RTX 3080 and it's much better now.

Getting anywhere from 80MH/s to 95MH/s depending if I am using my computer.

70% power limit, -300 core clock, +1000 memory clock, and 65% fan speed. Power is about 220W.

Computer stays nice and quiet. Didn't bother with adding or swapping VRM thermal pads.
