You can run the card outside your tower, just get a riser and let the extra sit outside, provided u have enough pcie cables
As for trading things for 3060s non ti (wait is it non ti? There are 3060s and there are 3060 ti's) dont do it, if its the non ti, not in your circumstance anyway, as mining with them is more complicated
Was thinking of trading for 3060ti's...
As for my extra one, I don't have enough cables I was thinking of selling the 3070's and just going 3060's and pocket the extra cash lol

Ah yeah that'd work, if I were you I'd just get a new power supply and swap that into your tower lol
I bought a tripplite pdu last night from Mike's, decided I needed a couple more, they're all soldout today I think they had like 10+ units at the BC warehouse yesterday, omg

I was thinking about that... my tower is a bit older, I don't think there are any GPU slots either...

Those old cars are passed their end of life for things like eth, ppl are just finding ways to keep em alive, imo you wouldn't be buying those, just trying to eke out as much time as you can from the ones you already own
Bought 8 of these 2 gig cards to start mining a new coin called prncn. It's the first mine-able NFT. Each coin you mine has an embedded adult photo or video clip.
A colorized version of a up skirt picture Margaret Trudeau where she is wearing no panties just sold for $26000. There is also a coin featuring a video clip from basic instinct where kim basinger shows her yoohoo that has not been mined yet.
The interesting part about mining prncn is it can be only mined on cards that have 2.5 gigs or less of memory. Because this coin is so new there are zero mining pools. I should be able to mine 13 coins a day with this rig. Already thinking of setting up a second one.

I've got several old gpus maybe they can be put to some use then?
Edit just realized this is probably a joke too eh lmao
Side note bought a pdu off Mike's, they were in stock, and proceeding with shipment, then someone bought the remainder of all their stock, now they've switched my order to backorder wtf...

I have a zotac trinity 3080 white
It was mining at 110°c with the fan at 100% and the mh just kept dropping...
So I uninstalled it and waited until my thermal pad replacement setup was ready
Today I replaced the pads, I opened up the gpu, and there was a missing pad for one of the memory chips!
Also on another memory chip the pad was only aligned to 3/4 of the chip!
The thermal paste on the processor was paper thin, looked like a thin milky layer, as if the processor was poorly cleaned and had paste residue...
The backplate had pads everywhere, none missing
The pads on the front are 2.5mm but I only have 0.5mm ,1mm ,2mm or 3mm, I didn't want to stack pads, so I risked it and put 3mm's on
(the pads on the backplate are 2mm BTW)
After plugging the zotac back in, I gave it a slightly higher overclock +1300mem (instead of 1200) fans at 80% and the memory junction is at 78°c
However I think the 3mm pads r too thick, so the processor is running at 58.5°c
So I put the fan at 90%, it dropped the processor to 53°c/54°c and the memory junction is down to 74°c
Edit: I used the thermaltight 12.8wmk 3mm pads btw
