Seattle for the weekend + baseball game?

Never really stayed overnight in Seattle, looking to go down in the next few months on a Friday after work to catch a Saturday baseball game?

Anyone have any recomendations as to where to stay that is accessible to safeco fieldas well as like restaurants/pubs etc?

for haloween, we used to stay at the Silver Cloud hotel which was like a 1 minute walk from Safeco field. its decent there and not too expensive

checkout the fisherman's wharf too on the morning that you are to leave. lots to eat there
