I just reinstalled the carbs and had it running great until the rad hose burst.

Super pumped to start riding this year. Growing up riding dirt bikes I finally took the plunge at 25 and picked up a bike from a co worker today.

no it wasn't. might have been the first owner? as i am the third.

Only sold the 1098 yesterday, and already picked this up today. Always wanted to own a green machine, finally made that happen tonight. The Duc's treated me well, but my learning curve is flattening out and this is the surgical tool I will need on the track to help me further hone and refine my skills.

Stay tuned, I'm going to do build thread soon as the parts start to trickle in. I'm doing a full supersport build but retaining all the signals and lights. My plan is to have a track monster that is also streetable on public roads. :megusta:

Pacific Raceways/The Ridge Motorsports Park in Seattle and Portland International Raceways.

We usually go down with a convoy of our friends twice a month between April-September, should think about joining us!

How's the fitment and paint quality on those aftermarket fairings?

Negative, it's owned by my Mom's boyfriend. I haven't got the time or the change to own planes as well!:dead:
Apparently those are a fairly special plane, he looked for quite awhile before getting that one.

i'm not sure if it came stock from factory but the fitment is tight. everything lines up.

Yea those are aftermarket Chinese fairings, only ever 600rr Repsol is the 2013. They're thinner plastic than stock and can be a bit iffy on fitment, but much cheaper to replace if they get damaged so that's a plus.

Strange response from him. I was just curious as to how they fit as I've seen both good and bad fairings from China. Not trying to bash his new toy.

Sometimes people that are new to bikes don't do their research and know they are aftermarket though. I don't like when sellers don't disclose that in any event, not that they have to.
A $500 complete set of Chinese fairings instead of the $1400 to $2000 set of OEMs usually means the bike has been crashed somewhat heavily (enough to destroy most of the stock bodywork) and should be sold for a lower price due to the cheaper parts though (unless the seller still has the mint OEMS and just got the aftermarkets for the look).
