Changing my gf's Black Vinyl Roof to White Hey, My gf just purchased a OEM black top for her 1990 VW Cabrio. We want to paint or dye it black and just want to see if you guys any suggestions on what we should do or if black to white is doable? |
Vinyl wrapping is the cheapest. Many type of whites to choose from too (glossy, satin, matte) Posted via RS Mobile |

I'd suggest returning it and getting a white one. |

Yes you can.. I've changed colours on convertible (vinyl) roofs as well as leather seats, using SEM products. Color coat, Sure coat, etc.. are meant for flexible applications as roofs and seats. You can get them at Lordco, I had to special order the colour I wanted from the paint desk. Might take you a few coats to go from black to white though. |
just do what 90% of the ricers on revscene do buy some plastidip plastidip the wheels, emblems, other random trim post pics on RS of ur crazy mods SWAG |
OP, I think the product is called SEB color coat, I was thinking of doing it on my miata and thats the one ppl recommended. |
SEM Color Coat: Color Coat Chip Card As I said.. I've used it on both convertible tops and seats, it's an awesome product. Never flaked off, no matter how often the top went up and down. Should be Colour Coat in Canada tho... |
Plasti-dip :troll: |
