A poors mans land yacht - Concept. Arash strikes again with another concept... found this on VWVortex.com VWVortex.com - A poors mans land yacht - Concept.. http://i.imgur.com/YPkDs6L.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Cwguh4F.jpg Cool internior http://www.vintagetrailering.com/pho...arward%204.jpg http://i.imgur.com/BNLqNzO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6ow393v.jpg http://i.imgur.com/K8cIgdA.jpg Quote:

To be honest, the concept is an interesting idea. Being able to detach the cabin of a full size RV in order to putt about town could be neat. However, I wouldn't design it from an existing panel van. It would have to be a brand new design in order to compensate for the docking area. And even then, most people who have RV's usually tow a small compact car or truck in order to bomb into town. And even ignoring that, there are tons of medium sized camper trailers that can be hauled with a conventional sedan car. Neat idea, but it's a very niche market for something like that. I know you mentioned it could be good for people who can't afford to own their own house, but buying land is the biggest portion of buying RE... not the house. That said, pad rentals at an RV park are pretty cheap. |
Arash is a retard how is he still kicking around with his dumb ms paint creations |

so like... how would the area between the cabin and trailer close off when driving away? or would it remain open? lol I'm guessing garbage bags over the opening |

So he stole a GMC concept and made it worse. What his idea is basically this...just smaller and uglier http://www.danielmoorephoto.com/RV-C...rTowView-L.jpg |
I was just thinkin he obviously had never seen a pickup and fifth wheel trailer |
I also wonder how much paper mache he is going to use for this "project" |

On RS, standing juxtaposed to convention is unacceptable - hence, Arash is failed. In this case, I don't think Arash deserved the fails at all. The idea is interesting, innovative, and addresses the restrictions on geographic mobility a conventional home creates by proposing a flexible alternative. The core living space could be contained in the main unit, which has the potential to double as a vehicle, while the secondary living space is contained within a detachable unit to be left behind on short excursions. No need to have a dedicated tow vehicle that's size makes its usefulness negligible for purposes other than towing. Presented in a more polished manner, I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar issued by serious design groups. The market isn't negligible either; many people, particularly those in younger demographics, aren't particularly sedentary and do not need much living space. For them, something like this might be a very viable alternative. |

Im glade you like it MindBomber! The concept looks expensive and complicated but its the opposite when one looks at it technically. Im certain if one was to build them, it would get lots of good offers for it... specially with our inflated housing prices. |
