| b18c1 ek civic boggy around 2-3k rpm. help diagnose.
sorry if this is the wrong section.
1997 ek hatchback with a 99 gsr engine obd2 p72 ecu
Issue: very boggy and hesitant around 2-3k rpms
Replaced map sensor, fuel filter, and tps sensor, checked voltages to the 3 tps wires. Replaced spark plugs, distributor cap, wires, rotors, installed skunk 2 intake, 65mm TB.
-only CEL codes for evap emissions
-losing coolant, possibly burning. about 0.5-1.0L every 350k ish. weird thing is I pressure tested it about 2 weeks ago and the cooling system held the pressure.

You don't just burn coolant without you noticing. There will be a smell, if you can't see it on the ground, then your headgasket is toast Posted via RS Mobile |

^ could mean rings, head gasket, or valves, but in ur case, if its low + the factor of loss of coolant, possibly head. just start with fuel pressure gauge, and coolant pressure tester again. leave it hooked up over night if u have to at rad cap pressure. also check ur fuel lines for kinks and fuel system for rust holes setting off emissions code. Take out your cat converter and rip around the block. See if it still hesitates. Might be a little loud though. |

if only at 2-3k I don't think it's the cat. It's strong as usual past that range?
Take out the sparkplugs and look for one that's just simply very clean. You have coolant in that cylinder.
