Can't wait to do it again.
My PB last year was 40:07, desperately want to crack the 40min mark this year.
Also doing the seek the peak on June 15th, so need to get a few training climbs in!

Just did it for second time. Did it Friday 1:24. Hated it so much I decided to buy a season pass on the way down. Typing this waiting for the gondola, 1:21. Damn my time sucks compared to you guys, but, I will demolish my time. Hoping for sub 70 minutes.

Got 45 mins (beat my pb 49) and he got 42 mins. Planning to do it at least once a week.

Man, I miss doing the Grouse Grind. Haven't gone since I finished school up at Capilano University (was still just a college back then)... so twelve years now. Used to go every couple days after class and managed to finally hit a best of 41:xx.

Now I'm pretty sure I'll be at the one and a half hour mark.

I refuse to go after 8am on weekend or holidays Lol.

BTW, is the small gravel parking lot (right a few steps below the trail enterance) free or pay parking? I don't see a machine so I haven't paid so far.

^woo made it! Got there at 7:30 but the gates were locked.
People can still open the gate from the inside so I just waited for someone to come down.

Completely empty going up... didnt really have the drive to go harder cuz there was noone to pass. haha 52.xx =/

Does anyone get lower back pain/strain while doing the grind? I've been getting it, and i try to stay more upright most of the time, but it sitll hurts. Hurts a lot more when i'm leaning forward too. Any tips would help.

what kind of shoes are you wearing?
my back hurt the first grind, but I was using heavy hiking shoes.
I switched to lightweight running shoes and it feels much much better!

they get super dirty tough lol
I hit a 48.53 this morning! pb!

Did my first trek up last week in over 2 years. Managed a 48:xx. At least better than my first attempt years back (2 hrs+)...

Hopefully with some training I will get it down to 40 mins or so.

You should try wearing simple runners like Nike dual fusions or Nike free runs they actually will do the job in the dry condition i have tried it myself
