Yeah. But the teams were a bit shit though. Should make proper teams next time.

We should totally make a monthly or bi-monthly thing.

Maybe make a team?

Since Spidey's FOB already....we can call ourselves the RS Rickshaws.... :fullofwin:

teams were fine :fullofwin:

BallPeenHammer2 07-12-2013 09:25 AM

i will organize it! TJ, wanna gimme some details etc? =)

BallPeenHammer2 07-12-2013 09:26 AM

If you call being outshot 3-1 fine.....

LOL.

Can probably tell: I was super frustrated about 20 minutes in.

murd0c 07-12-2013 09:30 AM

I will show next time to help make things more even :)

If it was a monthly thing, I'd be in.
Weekly may be a bit tough.

Just checking, was Spidey the guy in the blue jersey? I recall that guy did this move last night.

Did you guys rotate goalies?
During scrimmages, we play to 5, and it's a good way to mix up the shots. If one team is stronger than the other, it's not all on one goalie's back. Both get a change to take good shots, and the players appreciate shooting on a different goalie.

Sounds like it was a good night. It even featured a stitch worthy injury!
:drunk:

BallPeenHammer2 07-12-2013 10:02 AM

yeah we did. My frustrations aside, I felt worse for the white team, given the balance (or lack of) of the teams.

murd0c 07-12-2013 10:08 AM

switch the players half way through then? That's a lot easier sometimes and will make things more fun.

the teams weren't that bad. kristian and his buddy were carrying the white team. jgresch thinks hes playing ball hockey with all his puck flip moves on the d :D. I think it was more the fact that me and my buddies have played together for years so it was a chemistry thing.

That's the thing. We only had 2 of them and you guys had way more guys with "chemistry"

That being said, I say we should tape weights to Jgresh's stick and skates to slow him down.

kristianhay 07-12-2013 12:35 PM

Regardless of teams and shit, it was a fun time. Probably could have put a little more effort in but you know, dropin hockey haha.

Down to do it again sometime (without getting sticked in the face this time, preferably)!

You don't really need chemistry with someone to play better even tho it helps of course. It's all about the hockey sense and passing and cycling the puck to open the ice up and set up a nice pass then shot.

Position is key and if you aint playing it correctly of course your team's chemistry won't be what it should be.

I think the white team will disagree with you on that one... their individual skill level were pretty good and equal to ours.

murd0c 07-12-2013 02:00 PM

Then thats the way it goes sometimes lol

RevYouUp 07-12-2013 02:26 PM

It was fun last night! Looking forward to the next one :) Thanks again to TJ for organizing

I blame it on Jgresch. Even from the bench he made the dark team better. :okay:

punkwax 07-12-2013 02:59 PM

Chemistry is massive. Ever play against a team of 40 year olds who have played 20 years together? Tape to tape everywhere, making everyone else skate. Knowing where the other 4 guys on the ice are going to be helps A LOT.

That being said, sorry I missed it as well. Didn't know that date changed. My bad for not checking the thread.

you need to get in your car and drive out here for some hockey.
facilities are good and the ice is ample. plus I want to see you skate. or I'll drive or to you. either way, we need to do this.

I played against ballpeenhammer tonight in what was a memorable game. well played bph. I swore we had the third period, but your guys just ran with the puck. 2-1's, 3-1's, and even a couple 4-1's, it was a tough third.

at least we had no penalties this game, so we got free nachos apres game. all in all, it was a good season. bring on the playoffs.

:accepted:

BallPeenHammer2 08-09-2013 07:22 AM

Thanks bro. Honestly though my game was HORRIBLE. All the goals I let in were softies =(

Ever since I've lost Mondays for practice, my game's been doing downhill. Badly =(
