:Popcorn OP post some pictures prs |
just searched the dudes on facebook and one of the guys looks like its the user named "limitless" here that drives the 370z and has his own spotted thread... |
So headlight paint, fog lights, bumper? It depends on the headlight and the way it is constructed. Some headlights can handled being baked, but newer headlights are quite delicate, if it is too hot etc it will loose its shape and it would never seal correctly. If you have moisture it will be the tube is clogged or just not sealed properly. For projects like this always have a spare headlight and those touchless temperature probes. HID foglight.. I think it killed itself for the sake of people who you are aiming it at! In all seriousness, I would chalk it up to warranty. Also most foglight is located at the part of the car that is most exposed to the elements. Unless there is an obvious short you can't blame the installer. $2000 repair job.. what did they do? Blow the temperature control unit? Bumper, well you do need a certain finesse for things to fit nicely, go to the dealership get some new clips you are good to go. It depends on how many people / time etc.$3200 might sound expensive, but let say $500 for parts, 2 people, $1350/head that's roughly about 2 days or work. |
Are you validating his decisions? :lol |

Not really, I try to point out that there some sanity in the madness, besides being highly illegal with the modifications. Quote:

well in all fairness... who knows what kind of 'sell job' these private guys did on the op? maybe they had him convinced they could do a killer job guaranteeing this and that...who knows??? but.. I don't even trust dealerships with my car lol. |
hes your private modder, modding for money, he'll do what you want him to do |
|
I like the part where you brought your car to a dealership because the LEDs messed with your AC. Brilliant. Kinda hurts reading "modder" so many times |

Thread of the year? |
My condolences OP. Sounds like a mistake than any new person to this kind of thing would make. A dude shows you his sick car with promises that he can do the same to yours yada yada yada and then he focks you in the ass. Atleast now you know and hopefully others will also learn from your experiences. Condensation is likely from baking it 3 times... and I doubt they even used any form of re-sealant... G focking G.... In for pics! |

Sorry guys, trying to redo my headlight, and realized there was hole drilled as well inside... anyways to reply those questions: 1) the wire they tabbed into for LED was linked to AC compressor, and the AC compressor was always on so pressure could not be released properly. Therefore, the AC compressor failed, safety valve blew, the hose gone messed up as well. Dealer first told me it was under warranty but realized after it was my fault from the wiring. (i tried arguing but didnt go so well.) and this was from Northshore Acura. 2)@MADEINJAPAN, hopefully ur kidding me... 3) I found out why the hell it would condensate.. because they barely sealed it properly(all 3 times I bet), i didnt even use the heat gun yet and 1/3 of the lens popped out when i was playing with the screw driver... :rukidding: |
