-saw this News1130 article about a classic car auction that is happening this weekend at the PNE: Classic car auction this weekend in Vancouver | News1130
From the article: Millions of dollars of classic and rare automobiles will be crossing the auction block in Vancouver this weekend, including an ultra rare ’69 Hemi 500 Charger.
The classic American muscle car — only 27 were ever built – has been appraised at $220,000 after the owner stripped it down to its last bolt and invested over $400,000 completely restoring it.
The 450-horsepower, green behemoth is one of hundreds of classic rides on display or up for sale at the Vancouver Collector Car Sale Show and Auction this weekend at the PNE Fairgrounds.
“We’ve got some really, really cool cars,” says show producer Jason Heard. “It’s a full scale show, we have 12 acres of space, over 500 cars on site and the highlight is a 120 car premium auction. We’re very much trying to set it up like a mini Barrett Jackson to the north and create all the fun and excitement that goes along with that.”
That includes a full roster of classic, custom-built and collector vehicles like a 1966 Oldsmobile 442 w30, one of only 17 known to still exist and an extremely rare 1940 Packard 120 convertible, one of 12 left in the world.
