Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Alberts has always been serviceable as a bottom pairing guy or the 7th guy, he's better than most we could pick up
Some of the young guys out there playing right now make less mistakes and picked up less stupid penalties. Didn't see any offense out of Weise and Sestito either. Posted via RS Mobile
Horvat - Looked okay sometimes, invisible other times. He had a couple good shifts but definitely looked a little slow out there.
Jensen - Completely invisible all game.
Corrado - Paired with Hamhuis, these two were really solid. Corrado was making good first passes and was blocking shots out there. Looked better than Alberts, imo.
Gaunce - Played decent, not great, not horrible. Made some good offensive plays.
Shinkaruk - I thought Shinkaruk looked quite good out there tonight. He was pretty timid at first but got substantially better as the game wore on. Didn't look out of place, and that goal was nice. If he continues to play well, he could get a good look to stick around for 9 games.
Lack - Very solid performance, second goal wasn't really his fault. He needs to work on his rebound control and recovery a bit. Would like to see him against a more full NHL roster.

couldn't agree with you more. i think that Corrado is gonna crack the roster this season. Skinkaruk i think is gonna go back to jrs just because he could use another year. Don't get me wrong he looked good today, but like you said there were times he looked out of place.
Burrows looked lost out there from what I saw. So excited we finally have some prospects to look forward to
Sestito is still fucking terrible, worst player on the roster. Still can't do what little is demanded of him in winning a fight.
Shinkaruk looks like he has a good upside, nice shot and skating. Was a lot more visible out there than Horvat, who was also somewhat invisible in the prospect games. Lack was solid in net but looked awkward a few times.
Corrado got crushed a few times, Jensen as well. Welcome to the NHL.

on the pre game roster, yea. but for most of the game horvat got time with those two. there was also a couple of shifts where it was gaunce-horvat-jensen
What's with this new rule?
Additional 2 minutes if players remove their helmets prior to a fight?
I always praised players who had the class act of removing helmets while squaring off.
It's an effort to protect players heads from hitting the ice in a fight (because it happens so often :rollseyes
I see it more as a sneaky effort by the pussy, anti-violence, nanny crowd to gradually remove fighting from hockey. If enforcers are injuring their hands punching opponents helmets, you take them out of the game, at least for a while. More valuable players aren't going to want to risk injury by fighting. This could reduce the number of fights in hockey to the point that people will claim the game is starting to progress beyond the need for fighting.
