It's a fair contract all around. Canucks didn't really get any hometown discount, Sedins get to stay where they want with an opportunity to move on and win with another team if the Canucks can't do it over the next 4 years, which hopefully gives the kids enough time to develop and inherit the team. If we're lucky, there may be a year or two where the kids and Sedins all contribute in big ways at the same time.

is there a rule stating that ref's are unable to break up fights? i always see them just stand there and do nothing while there is only two lines men to break up multiple fights.
Holtby goes after Emery's face so I think he said something to the ref that made the ref back off and let them go. Maybe Holtby had enough of Emergy jawing at him? Maybe Holtby's trash talked Emery a little too much and the ref thought he should get his face punched in.
Sedins with a four year contract with 7 million per year. This just doesn't make any sense. What is even more hilarious is that they are on the decline as of right now, yet they get a 0.9 million dollar raise. If Vanek could yield a first round pick, second round pick and a solid roster player, I'm pretty sure the Sedins could yield this kind of return considering some contending teams still have high regard on the sisters. Darcy Regier at least is doing something right, bombing the next couple of seasons to obtain generation talents such as McDavid. Laugh at the Sabres now, but in a couple of years, the Canucks will be in the same boat, but nothing to trade to get draft picks. If the Canucks can think rebuild now, this franchise could still be saved, if not look like we will be watching least another woeful 5-8 years of dismal hockey in Vancouver.
Im sure we all know the conspiracy of the 05 draft. The Penguins franchise was financially in trouble and drafting Sidney Crosby saved that organization from being relocated.
My guess McDavid will end up going to NJ, BUF or PHX

^new jersey doesn't even own their first round pick this year ... the sedins contract is fine, people are dumb and don't understand that the cap isn't the same or the fact that 6 mil was a fucking steal for the Sedins and I don't even like them. For all the talk bout Sedins in decline they were 7th and 12th in scoring last season in the West and currently 1 and 4.
