We manage to get a point playing to the best team in the league in thier building.I Dont understand why you are so fuckin mad.idiots Posted via RS Mobile
you can't expect to go into the playoffs winning with that kind of outlook. the canucks should be looking to have that killer instinct when leading in the 3rd with less than 2 minutes left. too many times have we watched them give up leads in the final minute and then losing. this team just no longer have it and are now in the "pretenders" class.

-blowing another lead in the last mintue of play
- lack of physical response
-0 shots in the first 11 minutes of the 3rd period
-Sestito is on our second line
-Sedins continue to try and pass in triple coverage

it's how we lost this game that's frustrating. Late goal, bad and lazy turnover by daniel in OT, and the last second OT loss.
I find it hilarious that Vlasic is ahead of guys like Seabrook (!!!!!!!), Hamhuis, Phaneuf, and Giordano according to the guys at TSN. He's not that good. A lot of his shortcomings are covered up by the fact that they have an insanely deep forward group that has the puck in the offensive zone much of the time.
Also note how his minutes have dropped through the floor come playoff time. Last year, he was an 18-20 minute dman in the playoffs. That's BARELY top 4. The 2 years prior, same story.
Also, Marc Staal shouldn't even be a consideration. The guy has been nowhere near Olympic quality since his eye injury.

Forgot where I read this, but over the course of the past two years, Seabrook's play has dropped off. Duncan Keith has been playing BETTER without Seabrook as his partner as well. So this is why guys like Vlasic and Hamhuis are being considered.

I'd rather them lock it down defensively. Would rather not chase due to risk of taking dumb penalties

And yet Seabrook was playing 25 minutes/night (39 minutes in game 1) in the Stanley Cup Finals en route to a Stanley Cup ...
And Seabrook has literally played with Keith almost all year this year ... In a year where Keith is a Norris candidate.
Average ES TOI/G partners:
Keith - 19:22/game
Leddy - 0:46/game
Oduya - 0:37/game
You're telling me Keith plays his best hockey in the 2 shifts/game when he ISN'T playing with Seabrook? I find that difficult to believe ...
Fleury should definitely make the team. He's proven this year he's over what happened to him last year.
Not really. He's at 92.1 SV% playing behind an excellent team that:
- has given up the 7th fewest shots in the league
- has taken the 6th fewest penalties in the league
- has the 9th most powerplays in the league
Despite this, Pittsburgh has allowed 3 more 3rd period goals than we have (and Luongo has a better SV% despite facing more penalty kills, which is usually what kills a goalie's SV%).
So while we may grumble about blowing leads, the fact is that we've allowed the 5th fewest 3rd period goals. The problem is that we don't get the goal support that Pittsburgh gives Fleury, so ours end up being game-tying or game-winning goals (note: Pittsburgh is 2nd in 3rd period goals scored compared to the Canucks' 23rd ranking).
Also of note, Fleury has no experience on international ice aside from the World Juniors, which was over a decade ago.
Torts should have a practise where they have a drill on learning how to clear the puck... I can't even recall how many goals we've given up because of potato decisions
Bieksa back to playing like trash as usual, Garrison had a bad game too....we miss Stanton bad
