Personally I'd give it to Toews as well. More cup rings than Sid

not that Hamhuis doesn't deserve the spot but even though they probably wouldn't be playing together I would have taken Seabrook, just my opinion

i think most people forget that a couple years ago hamhuis and weber played together, and i think they were more looking for a d partner for weber than they were for keith. hes was also the best dman on the international ice for canada during the world championships

I think with Carter they were looking for a sniper not named Neal. Given he also plays center, he wins out over Neal. Richards is made redundant with Toews.

So who takes captaincy? Sid 100%? Maybe Captain Serious? Who are your picks if different? Discuss! | I think the way Thornton can distribute the puck would make up for his lack of speed , they were too strong down the middle though Posted via RS Mobile |

I'd like to see Toes get the C.
I'd give A's to Crosby and Keith.

theres a lot of chemistry set with this roster for Canada.
Kunitz - Crosby - ?
Sharp - Toews - ?
? - Getzlaf - Perry
they prob considered chemistry as a higher priority than picking the best players.
Now its just a matter of who fits in better with which line with the other forwards.

Hockey Canada's MO was to get fast up front (not sure if we did that wholly with the Ducks guys, but they're not exactly Thornton slow either). Too risky to have someone who can't skate.
They could've moved Tavares to the wing to accommodate the move. That said though, Thornton doesn't make it ahead of Giroux for these Games.

^ I think it worked out just fine for both teams. No cup run without Kipper (and Marek Malik ).

Keith-Doughty
Hamhuis -Weber - The Predator pairing
Bouwmeester-Subban
7th Marc-Edouard Vlasic / Pietrangelo (unless Subban screws up)

^ You do realize that Bouwmeester is on the team because of his chemistry with Pietrangelo, right? He's a great skater and D-Man, but without Pietrangelo he's not on this team.
MEV and PK are likely 7 and 8, and depending on the type of team they're playing one of them will sit.

Yes, i am aware but leaving Subban off the starting line up will cause the hockey world to go mad. Besides Keith & Hamhuis, Subban is probably the third best skating defenceman

PK will likely start out as a PP specialist. Perhaps he's the next Doughty, but there's no way he's taking Pietrangelo's spot beside JayBo.
Like someone said above- PK will likely get misconducted out of the lineup lol
Edit: Have you seen Pietrangelo play? The guy is slick as fuck. That's why he was generally regarded as a lock by every media outlet for the team. There's a reason that PK was a bubble guy up until this week, and it isn't his skating ability.

Stamkos - Crosby - Kunitz
Duchene - toews - sharp
Nash/Tavares - getzlaf - perry
Benn - Tavares/Nash - carter
Bergeron/marleau
That's how my forwards would look like. I don't have em in any any specific position (if someone is on the right but will actually play left side) apart from the centre.
I'm prob wrong but it's exciting being armchair GM Posted via RS Mobile |

lol @ leaving Bergeron as a spare. PK specialist, faceoff master, best 2 way forward on the team.
I'd leave Duchene as a spare and move Tavares to wing.
