LOL I give Torts props for restraining himself like that. Definitely enjoying how he is sticking up for the team, despite all the possible circumstances from his actions. Something that in my honest opinion was lacking from AV.

booth has played pretty shitty at times but i think part of it is because torts has him on such a tight leash that he plays tense and is so afraid of making mistakes that it, ironically, causes him to make even more mistakes.... he's gotta just play free and let his game flow

Hats off to Torts. This is the kind of shit I've been waiting for. I dearly hope the Canucks can turn it around, because of what happened tonight, and be a team I can be proud of.
Win or lose, it's all about how they play. Play with passion and with a desire to do their best no matter what. I'll be totally happy with that.
On a side note.
Fuck you, BJ Cock and fuck you, Bob Hartley. And, while I'm at it, fuck you, Gary Bettman and Colin Campbell........... for good measure.

Anyone notice how much Booth SUCK!, Burrows played so much better than Booth.
David Booth isn't worth 4 million a year. Mike Gillis shame on you!
Gillis didn't sign that contract.
We traded Samuelsson and Sturm, who suck far more shit than Booth at this point.
Booth was coming off a 23-goal season and most were expecting his production to improve on that closer to 30 as he did before Mike Richards decapitated him.
He actually started off okay in Vancouver up until he took that knee from Kevin Porter. He's been shit since then ...

He made the trade.... I don't see much of a differnce.
Love Torts. Love the way the team played this game and you can see it totally starts with Torts.
I have no problem with the Booth trade. It was a smart one that got rid of Sturm and only cost Samuelsson. Booth had the upside and he played well until he got injured.
But he's not injured anymore. He's flying out there but he has a lower success rate than Mason Raymond. I hate the way he plays in general but at least it worked before. He's lost that now and it's time to buy his ass out this summer or give him away at the deadline. For anything.
With the cap going up and Booth bought out, the Canucks would have like $10m to spend on some scoring help this off-season. Some actual help this time, Gillis.

More than that.
D. Sedin - $7M
H. Sedin - $7M
R. Luongo - $5.333M
A. Edler - $5M
R. Kesler - $5M
K. Bieksa - $4.6M
J. Garrison - $4.6M
A. Burrows - $4.5M
D. Hamhuis - $4.5M
J. Hansen - $2.5M
C. Higgins - $2.5M
E. Lack - $1.15M
B. Richardson - $1.15M
T. Sestito - $0.75M
R. Standon - $0.55M
