It's not just the players now... bout time Torts takes some accountability
If MG doesn't make a move or two he's done in the off season
Reality is the Leaf's are better than us now, accept it.

I always wondered if it's the ownership that's calling the shots and MG is just a puppet. I mean I can't see any GM sit idle when the team technically needed big changes this past season.

i feel the onus is on torts to get his team out of this funk than for MG to make a crazy deadline trade to save the team or to blow it up
seeing how we're playing we look apprehensive and don't have the confidence to make the plays we're capable of making.... the mental toughness torts wants just isn't there and it's up to him to fix it, hopefully he does, otherwise MG will have a hell of a job this offseason (if he even gets to keep it)

Torts is the last person I would blame. He has a shit team, and that falls on the GM.
My scale of who is to blame:
10) Players
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
2) Injuries
1) GM or Coach, depending on roster
In this case, it's the GM

Let's go further and blame the owner for being such a pasta fan, LOL.
The team roster, including coach, sounds like something out of a menu at Nick's Spaghetti House. Mind you, we got a couple of Swedes in the mix.
If blaming the owner fails, it then falls on the fans and the city. Perhaps a curse was put on our fair city.......... Vancouver shall never win the Stanley Cup. Did Lord Stanley not like Vancouver? Is that why the last spike was that far away? In some god forsaken hell hole called Craigellachie (AKA Lomac's backyard), BC.
EDIT:
OOOOOPS!!!!
Got my Lords mixed up. Lord Strathcona, not Lord Stanley. Damn it............. in any case, as per Don Taylor.
Whenever you get a chance to use Lomac in a post, you take it.

Yeah, let's all blame Torts for making terrible decisions out on the ice!
It only took 60 games for Canuck fans to start throwing the coach under the bus.

Higgins is our legit 2nd liner... |

Given this is MG's first bad year, I suspect he won't get fired just yet. A season or two more of the same and he's likely following AV out the door.

Coaches, players, and management should all be under the microscope when you lose 7 games, nearly 10% of the season, in a row, especially with the high expectations this team has.

some of you guys draw some nice parallels, you can blame the players all you want because they are costing us the games but that doesn't give Torts any free pass at all, you guys may love him for the way he coaches because he isn't a gum chewing emotionless man but facts are facts, numbers are numbers.
he's done good things but also bares some of the blame as well, he needs to find a way to fire his players up to finish their checks, when Booth is the only guy out there doing it, its a problem, firing his players up doesn't mean bitching them out b/w intermissions, it worked for the first half of the season, now its doing nothing, and clearly isn't the answer
soon, we may realize he was the wrong guy to take the job because of the system he employs, one that a number of our players aren't suited to play in, his march to Calgary's locker room CLEARLY affected the team more than we would have thought

Who ever is in charge of the offensive needs to be looked at during this olympic break... how the fuck can 2 art ross trophy winners in 2010 and 2011 dropped significantly.
Would pens trade malkin for 2 sedins, hansen + salary retained? |

In this case, it's the GM | It's MG's fault that:

Daniel Sedin (former Art Ross trophy winner, league MVP)
Ryan Kesler (former Selke winner, 40-goal scorer)
Alexandre Burrows (2-time former 30-goal scorer)
Have combined for 5 goals over the past 6 weeks?

MG goofed up with those no trade clauses to so many of our players. He'll have to make strong sales pitches to convince some guys to waive
the NTC. Maybe some guys will want to leave to get off this Titanic. Posted via RS Mobile |

I was expecting a much more physical game from both teams. It was rather boring to watch.

He said players will only be moved if they approach him and ask for a trade.
