This is old news but Panthers owner tells Dale Tallon to spend to the salary cap limit Not sure how many high profile FA's are going to want to sign in Florida, great place to live but not such a great hockey market. Hopefully they can put a good team in front of Luongo
If some of their prospects reach their potential they should have a pretty decent team in years to come

Luongo is a pretty respected guy in the League, It could work out.

Does Aquaman really think that all Canucks fans are stupid sheep who will keep spending our hard earned money on tickets to watch a team has hit rock bottom?
Hit Aquaman in the pocketbook so that the necessary changes are made to bring this franchise out of the abyss.
I'll watch Canucks games only on TV to support to this team. No more buying of game tickets for me.
I'm not filling up Aquilini's pocket with cash anymore!
Timing is everything...Season Ticket Re-newel time! Great time to send this out...especially after the crap last night...
If and when they fire Torts the team will play like the Jets when they fired Noel this season. You can clearly see that the players want the coach gone.
History repeats itself all the time, team tanks then coaching change and they reel off X number of games winning streak.

That's what everyone said about AV.. the team didn't like him, etc
So maybe it's the players (particularly the leadership) that are the problem?
Flames had a great game
guess what..they can score..
Sean Monahan has been great for that organization..
Yup, and we picked a guy who wasn't even ranked in the top10 of North American skaters (that's with the Euro guys removed completely from the rankings)... of course... I'm sure Stan Smyl knows way more about prospects than Central Scouting does.
At least we stole Shinkaruk at 24th overall though... but that was a no brainer. It pisses me off so much that Smyl has his jersey retired when he doesn't deserve it AND that he hasn't been fired after so many years of completely inept drafting. And yes, I am old enough to have seen Smyl play so I'm not talking out of my ass.
wait .. sorry if I read that wrong but is your beef with Stan Smyl's pick that he didn't follow Central Scouting? you realize these are all crapshoots and Central Scouting is just as off as any GM historically. I know its really early, but in 2012 they had Hertl as the 5th ranked Euro, do you think Sharks gm would trade him for anyone in that draft now? or maybe he should have followed the scout ranking and taken Sabastian Collberg who along with a 2nd was just flipped for a rental or Flip Forsberg traded for Erat? I mean sure its early maybe Forsberg and Collberg end up being better player than Hertl in the long run.
In a few years Florida is going to have a pretty deadly center line up, Barkov, Huberdeau, Shore, Bjudstad (not sure if he is a center)
Bjugstad is a C, and a big MFing C too. He's taken the ball from Huberdeau (and while Barkov remains injured) and has run with it. No doubt Huberdeau will end up turning things around because his skill-set is so deep, but Bjugstad would make a very good third-line center.

Don't forget that they don't pay taxes there in FLA. If the Panthers are competitive, you can't beat relative anonymity while making every dollar your contract says you earn.
Oh yeah, and sunshine year-round. I'm sure you can sell guys like Kane/Seguin (not the actual players, but young players with their particular "tastes" in life) to come down for the year-round skin show.
