philly GM said he has no interest in Lu...dam makes me think no one out there does lol so we either get nothing for Lu, or trade schneider and get a great deal. This should be interesting, but let's face it schneider is staying, so guess we'll have to settle for whatever we get for Lu

I'm still holding reservations on my judgement of the team until they actually PLAY some hockey, even then I think we should give them at least a couple dozen games to get into the system.
That being said, the interview was awesome so he's already a +1 in my books. We needed someone with that type of personality for years now!
Just watching the presser now. He really hit it on the head at the 9:40 mark. Like I said before, Canucks are just too "nice". Hawks and Bruins sure as hell aren't nice and look where they are now.

He also went on record to say he wouldn't trade Richards and told Bryzgalov's agent that Bryz would not be bought out. So ya, I wouldn't put any stock in what Holmgren has to say.
Based on watching the press conference, I can see that Torts knows the game of hockey very well. His last few comments at the end of the presser about scoring goals, playing underneath the hashmarks shows me that he has some good ideas about playing offense.
Some people say that he is a defensive minded coach. I think he can coach his teams to play both offense and defense well. Torts said that the Sedins will kill penalties and block shots.
The twins are gonna know how to be better two way players for sure under Torts.

Sedins used to be some of our best penalty killers it's not like they can't. I guess it's just a matter of will they be more prone to get injured or how tired will they get.
