if the fans didn't run him out of this city, we'd still have a world class goalie
the way the fans treated luu after the SCF is the reason he's no longer here, not torts, not gillis
Nope you're wrong. He was here and if we treated him like the #1 he would still be here. It's a known fact that he got his agent to force the trade to the Panthers after the Heritage Classic snub.
Love how everyone has this romantic notion of a "rebuild"
Teams like the Av's, oilers, jackets, flames, etc etc have been rebuilding for years with almost no success, how are we suppose to rebuild with picks In the 20 to 30 range when we can't even develop NHLers taken in the top 10. Posted via RS Mobile

Take a page out of Seattle Seahawks book.
Problem is, there's no hockey smarts in this organization.
Actually, I take that back....... this organization has no people smarts.
You make a team of players who know they are part of a machine and that they are all an integral part. You don't put all your eggs in one basket and you assure the players that there is a good plan in place and.... I can go on with this stuff, but the management clearly has no idea how to deal with people. Players are professionals and they should be this or that...... bottom line is they are human. They have emotions.

It's going to be the dark ages for the next while.
Aquilini has clearly let his heart make some of the decisions with this team. The problem is that he just doesn't own the Canucks - he owns Rogers Arena and the buildings that will surround it. The Canucks may be a big asset, but they're just one in his portfolio of many. There's no way he's selling the team, unless someone offers him a ridiculous price for it. Ego is a powerful thing.
