-wonder what Aquaman is gonna do at the end of the season. Gillis's comments about his job security with the Canucks and about Torts' future: GM Gillis unsure of status for Tortorella - and himself
If Aquilini wants his team to be a competitive franchise that can win more games, become a championship contender, and make him money, he better fire Gillis. Good riddance! Fire his ass!
Aquaman is gonna have to sell much more blueberries from his farms to make up for the shortfall in the Canucks profits, haha.

I'm tired of Gillis antics and attitude. I'm tired of having an agent as our GM. I'm tired of the excuses and blame game. The interview with Pratt today sounded like he's preparing his resume for the next NHL job, and passing the blame on to those who weren't willing to play "his" game.
Maybe he can hitch a ride with Burrows out of town this summer. Get that fragile bitch out of here.

Aquaman is expanding his empire into the restaurant business. If he runs these restaurants like the way he runs the Canucks, do not eat at these restaurants.
Seriously? What level of arrogance does Aquilini have to make him think that he can run profitable restaurants which serve food good? Stick with selling blueberries and condos, bro. Aquilini Group acquires Toptable Group's five restaurants | Georgia Straight, Vancouver's News & Entertainment Weekly

It's a pretty big game for the Bruins in terms of securing the top playoff seed in the Eastern conference.

Yeah, fire Torts! Fuck Torts! Keeping GMMG is obviously the logical choice.
BRB, trading 2 all star goaltenders
BRB, not getting a top 6 forward or a top 4 defenceman in return
Yeah, fuck Torts!

Sounds like MG is frustrated in the interview, guessing because Aqua forced him to move away from high-tempo puck possession to grind-and-trap (which our roster is ridiculously sub-optimal for).
Schneider was never an all-star (though he will be), but, yeah, that fucking pisses me off, too. We should still have one of Luongo/Schneider. MG and/or Aqua shit the bed on that one big time.

Yeah, fuck Torts! | 100% spot on
We've had the need for a top 6 forward for how many years now?
You'd think he'd leverage 2 all star #1 goalies to at least get a top 6 forward. Nevermind getting a top tier scorer, we're talking about a top 6. He couldn't even fucking get that
Think about it for a second. We traded Luongo and Schneider = #1 goalies for any team in the NHL for a fucking potential 2C in Horvat, Matthias, and Markstrom. |

No chance any team gives up a proven 25-30 goal scorer for the potential in Markstrom.

My boss is friends with Brent Seabrooks dad and he has said the same thing in that Aquilinis pretty much get the final say in everything using Gillis as the puppet. As usual, take it as you may but Seabrooks dad does know a lot of people in the Canucks organization.

so ownership has a big say/last say in decisions
Roast Gillis for not trading Lu/Corey
yet who is at Lu's door the day he doesnt get traded? Francesco
who's to say that whole goalie fuck up wasnt on ownership
i'm not really one way or the other with firing anyone, but gotta have at least somewhat neutral stance

I knew it. Aquilini is a micro managing owner who just uses Gillis as a figure head. You have an owner with a big ego who thinks he knows how to build a competitive franchise just because he's had success in other lines of business.
As long as the Canucks are under Aquaman's ownership, this team is fucked.
He's not just the money man. He is the man running this team behind the scenes in terms of trade decisions and roster moves.
We have the Charles Wang of the west coast.

I remember him beaching the forklift when the ramp slipped off the trailer.
Went to go save him with the other forklift, and he got mad at ME, and told me to get back to work. We all stood around and watched him burn the tires trying to get out, until he finally gave in and told me to "go fix it" Got that thing out in 2 minutes.
Nice guy when he wants to be. First time I've ever seen a Cup ring, and also my first and last time ever having one on my finger.
