It's almost like the script was from Alan in hangover. Posted via RS Mobile
hahahahh dude I thought the exact same thing.. I was laughing so hard in my office. Aquilini's delivery was so spot on that if you didn't see the video, it was exactly like Alan's speech.

Canucks offering full refund on season tickets until July 11 if you don't like moves at draft/free agency #canucks
This is my first official opportunity to write to you. I want to say how delighted I am to be back with the Canucks and how excited I am about the future.
As an important member of our Canucks family, I know you have a deep personal interest in everything that is going on and our plans for the coming season. As one of my first connections with you, I’d like to invite you to a special Q&A session on Canucks.com this Friday, April 11 at 12 noon. This video webcast will give me an opportunity to answer your questions about the team, and discuss our vision moving forward.
I understand that you have renewed your 2014.15 Canucks membership. Thank you for your tremendous support and loyalty, as it enables us to compete each and every year.
It is my goal to ice a Canucks team you can be proud of, but actions speak louder than words. Your 2014.15 ticket membership deposit will be fully refundable until July 11, which is after the NHL Entry Draft and the start of free agency so that you can be confident in what we are doing to build a winning team.
I can’t wait to get started and I am eager to hear from you about all your questions and concerns. You can submit your questions directly to me using the button below.

What: Season Ticket Members Live Q&A with Trevor Linden
When: Friday, April 11 at 12 noon
Where: Canucks.com
Thank you again for your passionate support. I look forward to our conversation on Friday.
Sincerely,
Trevor Linden
President of Hockey Operations
Vancouver Canucks
It seems like Trevor Linden is going to be nothing more than a figurehead. Desperately trying to get people to renew their season tickets, going so far as to send an email blast saying "HEY LOOK TREVOR LINDEN IS BACK! BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW!" Come meet him in person! And while you're at it, renew your season tickets!
Kind of gross, but not unexpected from this organization... At least they didn't go and hogtie Pavel Bure and trot him out as well
Renewing makes sense tho. If they're going to reissue refunds if u don't like (mid July) he can refund it lol why lose out your spot on the renewal list and wait 10+years to be able to get it again lol Posted via RS Mobile
So is Moj's dislike for gillis what a complete pussy the guy is too scared to say boo when gillis was in power then goes on a HARD tirade the day he's fired Posted via RS Mobile
Moj is a fat fuck doesn't no shit about hockey anyways! Kinda surprised there some are rumours out that torts could be fired but meh he style is boring anyways... Posted via RS Mobile
As much as I don't like Moj, he has a legitimate beef with MG.
Back in his early days as GM, he was doing an interview with the Moj and someone else (I think it was BMac). Moj criticized MG somehow, and MG played the whole "who are you again?" card. He then referred to Moj as (not an exact quote) "Bob- oh the guy always eating all the free food at press events??"
Moj was livid- and it wasn't until a week later that MG "apologized" and they buried the hatchet since. Moj is likely just kicking him while he's down.

I wonder what Linden's "short list" of potential GM candidates would look like.
Here's my list:
Lawrence Gilman. Hire internally.
Jim Benning. Assistant GM for Boston. Trevor is gonna have to wait a while to interview this guy because of the playoffs.
Paul Fenton. Assistant GM for Nashville.
Jim Nill. Assistant GM for Detroit. -15 years of experience as assistant GM with Detroit. -great draft record. -helped the Red Wings win four Stanley Cups.
Ron Hextall: Assistant GM, Kings. -helped Lombardi build a Cup winning team.
