There's a Q&A with Linden right now, and someone asked:
"Can you make sure poutine is an option in the concessions?"

or the fact that I should agree Edler is worth a 3rd, Booth is worth a 2nd, and we should trade Garrison (to a division rival) + Edler and have a D corps of:
Hammer Juice
Stanton Tanev
Corrado X
plus its highly unlikely Tanev signs for 9mil/3 yrs, he's worth more especially with cap going up
Looks like Jim Benning is the #1 candidate for the vacant GM position

Linden:
"I want to talk to some candidate GM's in the playoffs, keep in mind they might even make it to the finals so it could take a while"
"Has been a part of this organization"
"Someone with Experience"
"Drafting is my number one focus"
"It may be someone I played with years ago, but I'll take the best candidate"
Benning is Boston's AGM and played with Linden from 88-90
Following his playing career, he served an amateur scout for the Anaheim Ducks (1993–94) and then joined the Buffalo Sabres as a scout (1994–98) and as Director of Amateur Scouting (1998–2004). In the summer of the 2006, he became the assistant GM of the Boston Bruins.
Player -> amateur scout -> scout -> director of amateur scouting -> AGM
Pretty impressive resume! Hopefully this means that useless piece of shit Ron Delorme finally gets canned

Tanev is worth 3 million, he might command 3.5+ in the open market but he will be the top 3 guys on our team who eat up most of the minutes.
Tanev/ Hammer/ Juice
10 years from now, average players are going to demand 10 million for an entry level deal.
That's only assuming the NHL continues to grow at its current pace.
Salaries are tied to revenue thanks to Lockout #2. If you take this year where 5/6 Canadian teams don't make the playoffs and the CAD suddenly becomes 10-15% weaker, revenues won't be going up the same way it has just out of the two lockouts.

Good route to GM. Has spent a decade in the scouting roll and has been involved in putting together a championship team. A well built team, imo.
Better than an agent turned GM. MG made a career out of fucking GMs, and then wondered why he couldn't make any deals with them after he became a GM.
