Every NHL player's GF/wife is hot ... Even AHLers are making $100k/year or more unless they're on ELCs ... Easier to get when you're making that kind of bank ...
Indeed, there is no lack of hotness for him when it comes to the gf.
Spoiler!

Virtanen probably shouldn't go top 10 ... Just my opinion ... Also, Linden isn't exactly a hometown boy coming out of Medicine Hat, AB ... We seemed to do okay with him and he adopted Vancouver as his new home ... Where the player is born should have little influence on whether or not you draft him; at least not in the first few rounds.
Boom or bust prospect like Ehlers at 6 seems a bit high ... Too many small guys who were drafted top 10 because they excelled in junior have fizzled out at the NHL level (Brule, Hickey, Gagner (kind of), Hamill, Filatov) ... The small guys who have panned out went were either drafted 1st overall (i.e. Kane, Stamkos) or were top ranked heading into the draft (i.e. Turris) ... Ehlers will drop, IMO, just because of his size ...
Good points. Who do you think the Canucks will take? Nick Ritchie?

If we take Naslund on in any capacity, I think we end up taking Nylander, who played for Naslund in MODO.
If not, probably Perlini or Ritchie since our best scouts are in Ontario and in Sweden ... 3 of our last 4 first round picks have been out of the OHL (Shinkaruk being the exception) and our most successful picks have been out of the OHL the past several years.

Yea, I recall some guy on the radio talking about who we may draft at #6 and made a point that if you draft a smaller guy and he doesn't pan out, he'll pretty much be an AHLer but if you draft a bigger guy and they bust, at least you will probably end up with a NHLer who can play on the 3rd or 4th line.
Take what you will from those comments but in this day and age, some of those smaller guys worry me sometimes.

Still hoping for Draisaitl, however.
I think we might even take Nylander even if Naslund doesn't join the team in management mainly cause Gradin spends a shitload of time (Sweden) there and would probably see something in him like he did for Edler
He is a crazy offensive talent, natural centre that can alternate and play on the wing. I think also another thing is he'll be able to develop in the minors as soon as he hits 18 as he won't be restricted by the CHL (Q/W/O) cheese where they need to be 20 by Dec 31st/4 years in jr. This way I guess he can really be groomed properly.
Another international guy that's been talked about is Kapanen but I don't know much about him, other than the fact that he's a little bigger and taller than Nylander but they play a similar game. They both have NHL pedigree too, based on the fact that both their fathers played in the NHL and were relatively successful.
At this point I hope Ehlers completely rips it up the next couple months so he gets picked in the top 5 and someone drops, or that it can be decisive that he's the best guy for the 6th overall pick
If it means anything, Ehlers was second to Virtanen during the CHL Prospects on ice-skill testing, so he has a lot of raw talent and skill there
